Supercape Posted December 7, 2014 Author Posted December 7, 2014 Looking at Synapses Defence, it seems the King will hit the two even if not flat footed, so a toughness roll for Synapse DC 23 King of Suits is Bruised and Dazed (or, more accurately, bruised x2, injured, dazed) Synapse is up
Thevshi Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 You mean Foreshadow, you have already killed off the King of Suits. Synapse gets a 21. Figures, our terrible rolls would continue, but only a bruise. She will use extra effort and push her mental blast and hit him again, DC 25 Will save this time.
Supercape Posted December 7, 2014 Author Posted December 7, 2014 Bleh! (Although that was actually Arichamus wish, before you guys get to thinking I kill of PCs! ) 1d20+10=27 Oh lordy, his luck....quite incredible. I might need to consider what to do about that, but lets roll with it for now.
Supercape Posted December 8, 2014 Author Posted December 8, 2014 Round 1: 32 - Foreshadow - 0 HP - Injured + Bruised + Dazed 21 - King Croc 11 - Synapse - 2 HP - Fatigued So Foreshadow is dazed! King Croc is sinking beneath the surface as a move action, then swimming into Foreshadow in a rush attack, aiming to push him through the underground tunnel into the Nile. 1d20+10=29 unber-fricking-leivable. So he hits. Its an opposed roll for rush, Croc gets +4 for large size, and +8 for strength, and +1 for 1 rank in super strength (STR is 26 and 31 with superstrength). Let us see if his stupid luck continues. 1d20+13=17 finally! his luck runs out! Still, needs an opposed roll from FS please.
Brown Dynamite Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Str Check vs Trip: 1d20+3 19 That was a surprise.
Brown Dynamite Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Actually wouldn't that mean Synapse is up?
Thevshi Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Okay, Synapse is going to try to mentally grapple the Crock King. She gets a 14 on her power check with Telepathy. SIGH. Will use a HP for reroll, 20, which also gets a +10 as it is below 11, so a 30! Her Will check for the mental grapple is 29, if successful, she will do damage based on her +10 Wisdom bonus, so DC 25 Will save for the CK. Also, if he wants to do anything other than trying to escape the mental grapple, he must make a DC 20 Concentration roll.
Supercape Posted December 8, 2014 Author Posted December 8, 2014 1d20+10=26 so he is successfully mind read: and you will get some information on that (at least surface thoughts) Rolls against the grapple and the damage. 1d20+10=27, 1d20+10=29... Honestly, how lucky is this guy. In any case, the Crocodile King is now mentally grappled. Round 3: 32 - Foreshadow - 0 HP - Injured + Bruised 21 - King Croc - Mentally Grappled 11 - Synapse - 1 HP - Fatigued
Brown Dynamite Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Alright, since mental grapples mean losing one's dodge bonus I'm not sure if Sneak Attack applies. If it does the DC on this attack should increase by 2. Free Action: Switch to Bo Staff ConfigurationStandard Action: Power (-5 Atk/+5 Dmg) Attack with Bo Staff (DC26 TOU): 1d20+7 20
Supercape Posted December 8, 2014 Author Posted December 8, 2014 Im pretty sure sneak attack does count. 1d20+12=19 finally his luck falls, so bruised and dazed. Post away!
Thevshi Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Okay, with him dazed, he won't get to try to break free from the mental grapple. So Synapse will try to keep it up on her turn: sigh, only an 18 for her Will check. My bad luck continues. On the off chance he misses that, DC 25 Will save to avoid damage again.
Supercape Posted December 9, 2014 Author Posted December 9, 2014 1d20+10=17, 1d20+10=28 A mixed bag: the grapple is sustained, but no damage. Round 4: 32 - Foreshadow - 0 HP - Injured + Bruised 21 - King Croc - Mentally Grappled, Bruised 11 - Synapse - 1 HP - Fatigued Foreshadow is up again!
Brown Dynamite Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Standard Action Sneaking Power (-5 Atk/+5 Dmg) Attack with Bo Staff (DC28 TOU): 1d20+7 25 Due to Improved Critical 2 this is a Crit! So +5DC
Supercape Posted December 9, 2014 Author Posted December 9, 2014 1d20+12=28 for his toughness, although 1 bruise makes that 27 The Toughness DC is 33 (by my counting), so bruised and dazed again! (Now 2 bruises) Post awaay!
Thevshi Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 So, with the CK dazed, Synapse will continue trying to maintain the grapple. This time she gets a 29 on her Will check (full Will save to resist). She will again try to apply damage, DC 25 Will save (minus any bruises).
Supercape Posted December 10, 2014 Author Posted December 10, 2014 Guess what? 1d20+10=30 His abnormal luck is back. Breaks free of Grapple Post away! Round 5: 32 - Foreshadow - 0 HP - Injured + Bruised 21 - King Croc - Bruisedx2 11 - Synapse - 1 HP - Fatigued Foreshadow is up.
Brown Dynamite Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Move Action: Acrobatic Bluff (Feint): 1d20+22 38Standard Action: Assuming the feint was successful the Sneak Attack's continue with a Sneaking Power (-5 Atk/+5 Dmg) Attack with Bo Staff (DC28 TOU): 1d20+7 20
Supercape Posted December 10, 2014 Author Posted December 10, 2014 Yes that feint is successful (he may be lucky, but DC 38 is out of his league!) 1d20+10=18 his luck runs out! Dazed and Staggered! Post Awaaaay! And then Synapse is up again
Thevshi Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Synapse will just hit him with another mind blast, DC 23 Will save.
Supercape Posted December 11, 2014 Author Posted December 11, 2014 1d20+10=19 minus 2 bruises is 17, meaning a third bruise and another daze
Brown Dynamite Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Move Action: Acrobatic Bluff (Feint): 1d20+22 38 with a cumulative +1 to resist now Retreading successful ground now, Standard Action: Sneaking Power (-5 Atk/+5 Dmg) Attack with Bo Staff (DC28 TOU): 1d20+7 15 Eh probably didn't hit
