Avenger Assembled Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 "Better safe and hateful than hurt and loved" Comrade Frost's undead heart skipped a beat. Ah, what a woman! If only she could tolerate my appearance. And personality. And personal characteristics. Such a burden for the life of virtue I have lived! His laughter briefly interrupted the conversation before he went on, "Infodump!" he added brightly. "That is word young people know, yes? Simply release all information on holiday, porheps American Thanksgiving, and speak little of it. If voices in media wonder, let them wonder! We can swat any flies who bite us, even as a mighty dragon crushes her enemies, eh?" He winked.
KnightDisciple Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Gabriel shook his head at the suggestion from Comrade Frost. "That goes back to saying too much without context. Maybe 5, 10 years ago that would have been a viable option. But now? We're in the age where "online leaks" are serious news stories, and if it's confirmed that the League, or someone connected to someone connected to someone connected to someone in the League leaked it, then they'll take it as 100% true and accurate. It'll just cause even more panic because instead of looking secretive, we'll look apathetic. Though maybe giving a bit of basic background info over the website would be good, just so people don't feel like we're throwing out made-up space words or something. What about, at least initially, saying there's issues in the Lor Republic related to a new conflict and the League is sending members to aid and investigate, or something along those lines? It's entirely true, but it doesn't delve too deeply into the scope of things. Questions about the nature of the conflict can be dealt with on a case-by-case basis, but we probably don't want to throw out mention of planet-busters. At most, just say it's a large-scale force that's composed of unknowns and that needs serious attention." The Irishman looked hopeful they could reach some sort of compromise here. He had flashbacks in his mind to the last few times there were riots and unrest thanks to threats from external forces, and they weren't fun memories.
