horngeek
Do I need to roll to hit for these guys, or would taking 10 be fine? EDIT: Question answered in chat, so. Memorial's taking a single Power Attack trade-off to bring her Accuracy down one and raise the Toughness DC by one. I... think that still hits fine. Thevshi
Yes, that is fine HG. The antibody gets a 11 on its toughness save, so its done. Link to comment
Raveled
Who is up on the Communion ships? Link to comment
Thevshi
The Communion are, as you and Ecal posted actions early. Also HG, you miscounted the number of antibodies left on the Aphelion. There where three before Memorial attacked, now there are two left. Link to comment
Ecalsneerg
Am I good to post my next action, or am I going to get retaliated on? Link to comment
Thevshi
The last two antibodies turn on Mechanized and Memorial respectively, each power attacking (-2 atk/+2 dam). They get a 17 and 20, both good enough to hit, so need a DC 26 toughness save for each. The antibody on the disabled Communion ship is attacking Corona, hitting with a 28, so DC 25 toughness save for Corona. Aboard the second Communion ship, something within the ship tries to take control of Galvanic's mind, only getting a 16 for its power check. Galv needs to beat that with a Will save. Out in space, the last needle ship will fire at one of the interceptors, hitting the damaged one with a 26. The interceptor only gets a 10, so it explodes. Moving on to the pirates: The two tough pirates converge on the antibody attacking Mechanized, getting a 25 and 16, so a hit and a miss. Antibody's toughness save is: 20, so it is smashed. The elite pirate moves to attack the last antibody on Memorial, but misses with a 1. With the last one in melee, the other pirates hold their fire. Outside, the last pirate interceptor goes after the last needle ship, missing with a 12. So, after all that: Round Sixteen 24 Pirate Interceptor pilots (4) (3 disabled) 24 Galvanic (bruised 5, 1 HP) 17 Elite Pirates (1 on flagship: bruised; Insectoid on Apheilon: bruised 2) 16 Average Pirates (1 on Aphelion staggered) 15 Mechanized (unharmed, dazed 2 HP) 15 Waymaker (unharmed) 12 Corona (bruised, fatigued, 1 HP) 12 Sovereign (bruised) 10 Antibodies (2 aboard the Aphelion) 8 Needle Fighters (1 near pirates and merchant) 7 Memorial (bruised, 1 HP) 3 Tough Pirates Galv is up (assuming she makes her Will save). Cornoa and Mechanized are up as well, depending on the results of their toughness saves. Link to comment
Raveled
Toughness Roll: 1d20+11 17 Ugh. Going to reroll that.Toughness Roll: 1d20+11 23 Link to comment
Thevshi
Don't forget she already had a bruise, so that would be a second one. You can go ahead and take Corona's action Rav. Link to comment
Ecalsneerg
Use Mind Control on myself!: 1d20+7 23 Nope. Also, I'm Fatigued from last round's giant electric cannon.OK. Standard Action: Use a standard Blast attack on the weakened reactor. It should hit, for DC25. Explodey time.: 1d20+12 21Can I get a result prior to me choosing my move action?Edit: Then fly awaaaay at top speed Link to comment
Thevshi
I am just going to call the power core breached and starting to overload to explode! Link to comment
Raveled
Corona's going to Take 10 and punch the Communion drone; DC 25 Toughness save. Then it's time to GTFO. Link to comment
Thevshi
I'll go ahead and say it goes down. Link to comment
souffle_girl
Mechanized's save: 18 That's a bruise and dazed, right? If she's dazed, I spend a HP to recover, then she punches the antibody in the face. As usual, take 10 with Accurate Attack, +2 Attack / -2 DC. Link to comment
Thevshi
Yes, that is bruised and dazed. The antibody gets a 24 for its toughness save, which is just enough to survive. Link to comment
Thevshi
Okay, the last antibody on the Aphelion tries to attack Mechanized, but misses completely with a 12 The last needle fighter tries to shoot the last interceptor, just hitting with a 17. The interceptor’s toughness save is 29, so it is fine. The two tough pirates will then move up to attack the last antibody, missing with a 14 and 17. This rolls us on to 24 Pirate Interceptor pilots (4) (3 disabled) 24 Galvanic (bruised 5, 1 HP) 17 Elite Pirates (1 on flagship: bruised; Insectoid on Apheilon: bruised 2) 16 Average Pirates (1 on Aphelion staggered) 15 Mechanized (bruised, 1 HP) 15 Waymaker (unharmed) 12 Corona (bruised 2, fatigued, 0 HP) 12 Sovereign (bruised) 10 Antibodies (1 aboard the Aphelion) 8 Needle Fighters (1 near pirates and merchant) 7 Memorial (bruised, dazed, 1 HP) 3 Tough Pirates The pirate interceptor tries to blast the last needle ship, hitting with a 22. The needle ship gets a 19 on its toughness save, so it is destroyed! The elite pirate will try to attack the last antibody, hitting with a 22, the antibody gets a 23 and makes it toughness save. This brings Mechanized back up on the Aphelion. Galv and Corona are up out in space. Link to comment
souffle_girl
Time to get rid of this last guy. I'm spending Mechanized's last HP to add 10 to my to hit roll if it's 10 or less, and attack the antibody in melee with my base attack bonus and DC 1d20+9 = 10 Good thing I spent that hero point! Total is 20. But I'm not sure it's enough... Edited February 11, 2015 by souffle_girl Link to comment
Thevshi
SG, that is not quite how using a HP works. You get to spend a HP for a reroll, and you get to add 10 to the reroll if it is 10 or less. But in any event, with the penalties from the space suit, you could only end up missing if you rolled exactly 11 on the reroll, and in the spirit of moving this forward, I will just say you hit with the reroll. The antibody gets a 15 on its toughness save, so it destroyed. Link to comment
