Charlie could feel the deep gash across his back. Getting slow, getting even harder to keep away from these things and Foreshadow wasn't there to back him up anymore. He had a bad feeling things were going to go sour any minute.

Again with the whip, he slashed the tip across an antibody's chest, but either this one was tougher than most or the pain in his back was slowing his arm down. Either way, the whip seemed to have little effect and the Communion continued to close in on him.

"Well, I'm still going to be tear up as many of you clowns as I can before I go down. Keep your eyes on me, pay no attention to the hangar."

Entering the UNISON building, Foreshadow found a group of UNISON troops rushing towards a stairwell and followed along after them while he waited for Synapse's response.

Meanwhile, outside, just as the Communion forces appeared to be reaching an overwhelming level, a pair of portals appeared, one up in the air just below the aerial battle, and another along one side of the UNISON building.  Almost immediately, figures began to emerge from each of the buildings.

One of the first figures to appear was a powerfully built man dressed in black cargo pants and boots, a sleeveless black t-shirt and a black mask which covered the upper half of his face and his head.  Despite the man's large, stocky build, he moved with incredible speed and grace, as he zipped across the grounds toward the door Foreshadow had entered through.  The figure's speed allowed him to pass by masked vigilante with ease as he passed the UNISON soldiers as well and disappeared up the stairwell.

Up in the air, a man with long black hair in a gold and white costume and a long white cape flew up into the air towards the aerial battle.  "Avatar, you are with Gremlin, Iceflame, stay with me."  He stated in a deep commanding voice as he focused on one of the needle fighters that had just been attacking Stella.  A beam of dark red energy fired from the man’s eyes, striking the Communion fighter and tearing it apart into dust.

Down on the ground, a young man with long black hair that was back in a ponytail rushed over toward the side of the building Ulysses and Professor Chiron were guarding.  He was in a dark blue costume with a brown leather jacket over it.  As he reached the other side, the young man sent a blast of energy at one of the antibodies attacking Ulysses.  The blast stuck the antibody, but the Communion footsoldier managed to resist the attack.

Another young man emerged from the portal on the ground, moving toward the opposite side of the building.  As he went, the young man began to grow, soon reaching a height of just over sixteen feet tall.  Moving over near Coiled Lightning, he swung a massive fist down toward one of the antibodies attacking the whip wielding hero.  The powerful blow drove the antibody into the ground, smashing it in the process.

Up in the sky, a young woman with long blonde hair and wearing a short white sleeveless dress flew up into the air, large white feathered wings beating powerfully as she moved.  As she approached one of the needle fighters, a glowing sword of energy leapt into existence in one hand as she swung it at the Communion fighter.  The energy blade tore through the side of the needle fighter as the young woman flew by.  The needle fighter began to spiral off to one side out of control before exploding in a ball of flame.

Another young woman, this one with long red hair and surrounded by a brilliant red glow flew after the man in the gold and white costume.  As she went, she fired a jet of red flame at a needle fighter, which blew apart under the intense heat.

It was difficult to tell for sure but Agnus really hoped that things were beginning to go there way, the sudden arrival of reinforcement was definitely a big plus.

"Hey great it looks like the cavarly arrived, and as normal in the nick of time." Even though she was relieved at extra help there was that little niggle at the back of her mind "And just out of interest who ordered our rivalries arrival? A little earlier would have been nice, not that I'm complaining..."

Almost as an afterthought she sent another of her light bolts towards on of the alien craft.

The needle fighter blasted by Young Britannia explodes in a bright flash that momentarily lights up a small section of the dark sky.  Even as the heroine posed her question about the timing of the reinforcements, yet another figure emerged from the portal in the sky.  This one was also female, but appeared to be over six feet in height.  She was also covered in sleek green scales with dark green spikes on her forearms, shoulders and shins.  Large leather wings carried her through the air as she flew near Young Britannia.

"We might have showed up earlier dear, but typically when we encounter UNISON they are trying to arrest us."  She stated with a small smile before flying after the young woman with the white wings.  The reptilian woman flew near another needle fighter, slashing at it with sharp claws that cut through the metal of the fighter.  The woman moved past the fighter, which exploded behind her due to the damage she had caused.

Once this new figure had appeared, the portal in the sky flashed out of existence, though the one on the ground still remained in place.

From it, a tall woman emerged.  She was African-American (or perhaps just African), with dark complexion and short cropped black hair.  She wore a sleeveless black bodysuit with a few diamond shaped cutouts along the back and sides of the legs.  Glancing across the battlefield a moment, she took a few running steps and then leapt into the air, flying over toward the side of the building where Ulysses and Professor Chiron were trying to hold back the Communion.

She came down on top of one of the antibodies attacking Ulysses, smashing it into pieces as she turned to face the next one, a small grin on her face.

Professor Chiron seemed slightly surprised by the sudden arrival of the reinforcements, but quickly focused back on the task at hand.  Namely, dealing with the antibodies that were attacking him.  The Greek hero delivered a powerful backhand to one of the antibodies, knocking its head sideways and sending it flying a dozen meters or so away where it landed on the ground unmoving.

Well, the fighters appear to have crashed into the upper levels, which are currently unoccupied, but I am sure they are working their way down to the hangers, or perhaps even to the command center.  Synapse replied to Foreshadow's initial question about where the antibodies were.  But then there was the sudden appearance of several super powered individuals for both the aerial battle and the ground defense.

The young Englishwoman did her best to listen to all the talk around her about these new arrivals so the others could at least know who it was that had showed up to apparently help them.  Well, it seems our reinforcements are members of a supervillain group known as the Scions of Cain.  She stated to the others over the telepathic link.  Several of them have rather long careers, the one on white and gold leading the charge up in the sky is called Radion, and apparently he used to duke it out with Centurion back in the day.

One more figure emerged from the portal located on the ground, which then vanished from sight as he appeared.  The man was dressed in a full length black bodysuit, but the air around him crackled with electricity.  Jogging over toward the side where Coiled Lightning was now fighting alongside the sixteen foot giant, the new arrival turned his gaze out to the mass of Communion that had just arrived in needle fighters.

Bringing his hands up in front of him, electricity arched out towards the massed antibodies, filling the air with the smell of ozone and causing hairs to stand up.  The bolts of lightning lanced through twelve of the massed antibodies, causing most to seize up as the bolts cut through them.  In all, ten of the Communion collapsed to the ground following the attack, although two managed to withstand it.

The antibodies seemed to quickly adjust to the arrival of the new enemies, rushing forward to attack.  The remaining antibody attacking Ulysses tried to attack the woman who had smashed the other one, but ended up missing her.  Three others rushed forward, slashing their claws at the woman, but also failing to connect.

Professor Chiron found himself still fighting two of the Communion, as a new one arrived to take the place of the one he had felled.  The cybernetic hero managed to dodge the first attack, but the second connected, but failed to pierce his armor.

Two other antibodies rushed toward the young man in the brown leather jacket.  He was able to agilely dodge the first attack, but the second connected, knocking him to the ground as it connected.

The last antibody fighting Coiled Lightning attacked once again, but the whip welding hero was able to avoid the attack.  The two antibodies that had resisted the lightning blast rushed at the towering figure near Coiled, but both somehow failed to connect with the large target.

Inside the UNISON building, the dark figure who had sped past Foreshadow and some UNISON troops continued up the stairs, soon reaching one of the upper floors.  As the man emerged into the hallway, he found himself facing four antibodies who were moving toward the stairs to move down toward the hanger.  Rushing toward them, the large man drew a pair of kukri knives, the blades flashing as he slashed at the first one, slicing the antibody open and sending it to the ground.

But the kukri wielder was already moving up to the next, attacking it with blinding speed as well.  In a few moments, all four antibodies were lying on the ground, destroyed by the large man who continued on past them.

Up in the sky, the man in white and gold Synapse had identified as Radion focused his attention on the area above the dogfight, and the Communion fighters still descending down from low orbit.  The man’s eyes glowed dark red, as another beam of dark red energy shot fort, but this time in a much wider arch, covering a larger area filled with needle fighters.  In all, ten were caught in the blast, and subsequently ripped apart by the blast.

But even as Radion slashed into the numbers of the attacking enemy, other needle fighters turned to face the new threat.  Two blasts of green energy shot out at Radion, one striking him.  But the blast dissipated harmlessly on a forcefield that surrounded Radion.

Another needle fighter fired on Iceflame, as the young woman tried to stay close to Radion.  The blast struck true, but similar to Ragion, the red nimbus that surrounded Iceflame withstood the attack.

The young woman in the white dress with white feathered winds did not prove so lucky.  The blast struck Avatar square in the back, causing her to drop slightly in altitude as she had trouble focusing on the battle around her and dropped slightly in altitude.

A fifth needle fighter fired on the woman with the green scales, but the blast went wide.  However, at the same time, Young Britannia felt another blast from a needle fighter strike her in the side.

Slightly lower in altitude, Stella managed to regain her focus, managing to stop herself from falling further.  However, the Italian heroine was still badly injured, and unsure how much she might be able to contribute.

Down on the ground, the large figure that had come to Coiled Lighting’s room turned his attention to the two antibodies who had attacked him.  Taking a step forward, he young man swept one of his long arms out in a wide arch.  The blow managed to catch both of the antibodies, lifting them up off the ground and sending both flying backward in pieces.

Well, rather the devil you know.  Or at least not trying to turn you into a slush of metal  Foreshadow chased after the large man wielding kukri.  The trademark weapon of the Gurkhas made for easy slaughtering of the Antibody's.  At least in the hands of someone as skilled as Yama was supposed to be.  Judging by the aftermath, that very reputation did him justice.  But, Foreshadow didn't have time to admire Yama's handiwork.  Rushed by four Antibodies of his own.

"I guess for today, we can count on you to be the cavalry."  Foreshadow rushed to attack the antibodies.  Sweeping one off its feet he immediately thrusted his bo staff into its face.  Another came rushing only to find itself smacked right across the head as the prescient acrobat spun on his heels to counter the pending assault with his weapon.

Still following the momentum from the second Antibody, Foreshadow would continue twirling his multi purpose staff.  Aggressively smashing it  between the pair in a series of circular movements.

It was a pleasant surprise to see all the incoming troops, especially the giant who did a good job of clearing out the antibodies facing Charlie. The good feelings were dulled a bit when Synapse identified them as Scions of Cain. But he guessed even villains didn't want to see the Earth assimilated by Communion. Not the sane ones, at least.

"Much appreciated, big guy." He said with sincere gratitude as the giant knocked down a pair of nearby antibodies. He picked up his whip and swung it at the last antibody within reach. The whip wrapped around the thing's neck, and Charlie pulled it off its feet. "Glad to see a new arrival that's not trying to kill me."

Inside the UNISON building:

Yama made a slightly glance over toward Foreshadow as the masked hero moved up to engage another group of Communion.  "Whatever our differences with UNISON and those such as yourself, we have as much interest as any of you in seeing this world survive."  The large man replied in a deep voice with a heavy accent.

Outside the building:

The large man looked down at Coiled Lightning as the later dispatched anther antibody with his electrical whip.  "It seemed too good a fight to pass up American."  The young man replied with a heavy Russian accent.  Now that he had a bit better look at him, Coiled estimated he could not be much more than nineteen.

Up in the sky:

Iceflame flew along after Radion, firing another fiery blast at one of the needle fighters that had shot at her.  However, this time, the Communion spacecraft withstood the blast, streaking past as it prepared to circle back around.

"Avatar is in trouble!"  The young woman called out to Radion.

"Gremlin is with her."  Radion replied back with a much calmer tone.  "Stay focused on your assignment."

So they were villains, well they had as much to lose as anyone else so why wouldn’t they want to help. She like to think that she could be pragmatic and more importantly trusting when the situation called for it.

“I’d happily accept the help of anyone up to Omega, as long we don’t have a Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! moment.”

She wasn’t sure if it was the length of time they’d been fighting or that she was on foreign soil but she couldn’t seem to muster the power for an massive burst like before, instead sh had to settle to taking out one of there ships.

The reptilian appearing woman identified as Gremlin flew over toward the needle fighter that had attacked the white winged woman.  Closing quickly, Gremlin lashed out with her claws, but the needle fighter pulled away just in time, causing Gremlin’s claws to rake harmlessly across the fighter's hull.

Down on the ground, the woman that had come to Ulysses' aid glanced back at the young man who had been injured by one of the Communion.  "Darn it kid."  She muttered under her breath before leaping back over to the downed fighter and smashing the antibody that was preparing to try to finish him off as she landed.  "You okay?"  She said, taking up a defensive position near the hurt young man.

Professor Chiron slammed a metal clad fist into the antibody that was attacking him, smashing its chest inward and sending it down to the ground.  We are still rather outnumbered over here at the moment.  He indicated over the mental network Syanpse was maintaining as he eyed the mass of antibodies that were moving in toward the defenders.

Yeah, even Colonel Ellis is willing to give them a pass for tonight so long as they continue smashing Communion forces.  Synapse replied to Foreshadow's comment over the mental link about accepting help from the villains that had appeared.  The Englishwoman continued to observe the various monitors in the command center, trying to keep track of all the various fronts of the battle.

Hearing Professor Chiron’' mental comment, the young woman looked over toward the screens showing that side of the building, noting how many antibodies there were approaching the defenders, several of whom were not in the best shape.  Well, I can probably get in a couple more of those mental blasts to try to cut down the numbers some.

No, not yet.  The Professor replied.  Save those for if things get really desperate.

Although she was somewhat skeptical that things were not already reaching that point out there, Synapse accepted the Greek hero's request, remaining inactive for the moment as she continued to try to focus herself for when she did need to fully unleash her psychic powers.

Back outside, the dark clad man near Coiled Lightning and the tall Russian once again began to be surrounded by flashes of electricity as he lifted up his hands and calmly stared down the more than a dozen antibodies that were rushing toward the trio.  The, blots of electricity shot out from his hands once more, lancing through the night sky and arcing through the charging Communion forces.

Nearly all of the antibodies jerked upright as the bolts of electricity tore through them, sending all but one flying backward to land motionless on the ground, their metallic bodies smoking.

That last antibody rushed forward toward the dark clad man, lashing out with its claws as it closed.  However, the claws were turned away by an electrical field that surrounded the man.

Even as Professor Chiron finished telling Synapse to hold off on unleashing her mental attack against the Communion, the Greek hero found himself beset by a pair of the creatures.  The cybernetic hero managed to dodge the first attack, but he was unable to avoid the second, the antibody’s wicked claws raking along Professor Chiron’s left side and casing him to stagger slightly as he was dazed by the attack.

A trio of antibodies attacked the woman who had been helping Ulysses, two of the creatures managing to connect with the woman.  However, as they hit, there was a faint glow around the woman, as she seemingly ignored the attack with no ill effects.

Another antibody had directly attacked the young man who was on the ground.  But even having just recovered from the prior attack which had injured him, the young man managed to roll away from the antibody's attack.

Doing his best to make the most of the oppertunity the sudden arrivals had presented him with, bruised but unbowed ulysses charges back in, forsaking his computronium club for his trusty fists once more and making full use of his blinding speed he manuvers behind the three ghoulish invaders and lashes out with short, sharp and most importantly, devestating blows that crumple what they don't blast away.

"Not out yet..." he huffs tiredly to no-one in particular "Not by a long shot!"

Inside the UNISON building:

Yama seemed to watch Foreshadow go to work against another group of Communion with keen interest.  Whatever the dark clad figure thought of the vigilante's ability, he made no comment, instead moving quickly past and toward another group of antibodies that had rounded the corner further down the hallway.  Yama's twin kukris flashed in the dim light as he quickly cut down the first of the antibodies.  In short moments, he moved from one to the next, and soon all four were down.

Up in the sky:

Radion remained focused on the groups of approaching Communion fighters, his glowing red eyes once again sending a powerful beam of dark red energy in a wide arch above him.  This blast managed to catch twelve of the diving needle fighters, tearing apart eleven of them, while one managed to resist the attack.

Two needle fighters wasted little time trying to take out the threat that was cutting into their numbers.  Both fired their bright green energy at the caped figure, only one of the two managing to score a hit.  But as before, the green energy dissipated harmlessly on Radion's forcefield.

Meanwhile, other needle fighters continued after the other superpowered air combatants.  Both Iceflame and Avatar were hit by blasts from the needle fighters, both appearing to be hurt by the attacks, but still in the fight.  Blasts of green energy aimed at Gremlin and Young Britannia both missed their marks.

Slightly below the main aerial battle, Stella looked up at the chaos above her.  Although she was badly hurt, the Itallian heroine was not quite ready to stop fighting, and she aimed a blast of bright light at the needle fighter attacking Avatar.  The beam of light lanced up through the night sky, blasting the Communion ship out of the sky.

Down on the group outside the UNISON building:

The young man who had been knocked down by an antibody quickly performed a kip up, getting himself back on his feet as he regarded the antibody attacking him with a scowl.  "Yeah, I'll live, which is more than I can say for this guy!"  He stated in reply to Black Diamond, as he fired a blast of energy at the antibody, blasting it off its feet where it landed on the ground, a smoking hole through its torso.

Back on the opposite side of the building, Stonewall took a couple of long strides over to where an antibody was attacking Darkbolt.  The huge figure easily smashed the attacker into the ground with a larger fist, momentarily clearing the side of any Communion.

That lasted only a few moments, before a trio of the needle fighters that had slipped past the aerial battle slammed into the ground a short distance away, their sides opening to release the antibodies waiting inside....

Foreshadow whistled at the flash of metal and death.  Looks like I get tall dark and silent to buddy cop with.  Casually strolling along after Yama Foreshadow twirled his bo staff along the corridors of the offices on the upper floor.  Foreshadow was impressed by the display.  If only because it called out to his own competitive nature.

Stopping just near a cubicle a wry smile formed on his face.  Armed with a flash of what was to come Foreshadow holed in.  Squaring his body he held for three seconds before pivoting and swinging his bo staff with all his weight put into the blow.  Crashing into the Antibody that had picked the wrong moment to sprint through the office its momentum adding to the weight of the impact.

Foreshadow collapsed his multi purpose staff as two more Antibodies charged for him.  Extending his arm out he waited until they were just within reach.  And re-extended the staff to full length with enough speed to tear into both of their heads.  "They never notice the staff is extended a bit longer than the sticks.  Tch, tch.  Not that these guys would care.  Practically fighting zombies, still feel bad for them though."

Retracting his staff from their metallic skulls, he struck down the last Antibody with less flash.  Using nothing but a lightning fast swing against its head and it was out..

Up in the sky, the blonde haired woman in the white dress managed to right herself, just as she was hit by another blast of green energy from one of the needle fighters. While Avatar gasped in pain, this time she managed to avoid being dazed, or worse, and turned toward the spacecraft that had attacked her.

Flying over with a few powerful beats of her white feathered wings, the young woman flew underneath the needle fighter, delivering a hit with her energy sword.  However, the Communion craft managed to roll to one side at the last minute, so the blow was only minor.

Over near Radion, Iceflame also cried out in pain as she was hit by the attack from a Communion fighter.  But the glowing redhead turned with scowl and promptly blasted the needle fighter that had attacked her out of the sky.

Coiled Lightning gave a nod of respect as the big russian and the man who called electricty dispatched the remaining antibodies nearby. He was about to catch his breath when he saw another batch of fighters spewing antibodies all over the field.

"These things just won't stop. Those jets better get airborne soon or I think my whip-arm is going to fall off."

Hoping his new allies would back him, up Lightning run up to one of the downed fighter. Like shooting fish in a barrel he snapped his whip at the antibodies as they struggled forth, leaving two in a broken pile, but two more creeping toward him.

It was almost becoming boring to shoot these ships out of the air, there was just so many of them that it was impossible not to miss something. Cause it helped a little that the fate of the world was in the balance, but Agnus mind couldn't help but wander a little as she sent another blast towards a Communion needle ship.

“Okay can anyone tell me if we’re winning up here, cause I’ve got a date later and I really want time to get ready.”

Up in the sky:

The reptilian woman referred to as Gremlin gave a small grin at Young Britannia's comments, even as she flew over toward the needle ship that had just fired on her.  Gremlin seemed to put a bit more effort into trying to rip the fighter apart, effort which appeared to make a difference, as her sharp claws tore through the needle fighter's hull and sent it spiraling a short distance away before it exploded.

"Well, I believe we are starting to tip the scales, but no promises on making that date."  Gremlin replied.

Down on the ground:

Down on the ground, Black Diamond began swinging her fists at the three antibodies attacking her, smashing one which was sent flying backward into a wall more than a hundred feet away.  She wasted little time quickly demolishing the other two and was soon clear of any enemies, at least for the moment.

The three she had just dealt with were quickly replaced as four others surged forward, their hands and claws crackling with green energy.  The antibodies slashed and clawed at the villainess, but only one managed to land a hit, sending the green energy arching through her body.  But Black Diamond managed to take the hit with no ill effects.

Two other antibodies rushed toward the young man in the brown leather jacket, both slashing at him.  But only one managed to hit the young man, and even then, he seemed to twist away just at the last moment, avoiding any serious injury.

The two antibodies attacking Professor Chiron continued to attack the Greek hero, one missing with its attack, but the other managing to hit Chiron once more.  The hit appeared to hurt the cybernetic hero, causing him to stagger backward dazed once more.

Ulysses finds himself facing another two antibodies, their hands crackling with the green energy that had caused him so much trouble before.  One of the pair managed to land a hit and Ulysses felt the energy arch through his shoulder that was hit.

Back on the opposite side of the building, Darkbolt sent another ball of electricity flying towards three of the downed needle ships, which erupted into another large are electrical blast.  Ten of the antibodies emerging from the fighters stiffened as the electricity burned through them and then collapsed to the ground in smoking heaps.  But two of the antibodies managed to resist the attack, rushing forward to attack the Russian giant, their hands crackling with green energy.

The first antibody managed to hit the giant, the green energy arching along his leg, but the large Russian gritted his teeth and managed to resist the attack.  The second antibody failed to connect with the large target.

The antibody that had resisted Coiled Lightning's attack charged the whip wielding hero, but Coiled managed to dodge the attack.  The other antibody near Coiled moved past him, rushing over to Darkbolt.  The antibody managed to hit the villain, but the electrical forcefield which surrounded him appeared to once again ward off the attack easily.

Inside the UNISON building

As Foreshadow took down the last of the antibodies in sight, Yama seemed to be focused on something far away a moment.  The dark figure then turned to Foreshadow.  "Whatever sorrow these things deserved happened when they were taken by the Communion, now they are little more than an extension of a whole."

"The building is clear, for the moment.  Would you prefer to remain here should others arrive, or return to the battle outside?"

Up in the sky

The number of Communion fighters had begun to thin given the number taken out by the gathered heroes and villains.  Most of the mixed-nationality fighter planes that had come to defend the UNISON headquarters had expended all their missiles, and were now using their 20mm or 27mm cannons.

Still flying up near the top of the dogfight, Radion turned his attention toward a needle fighter chasing after a German Typhoon.  A beam of dark red energy fired from his eyes once more, striking the Communion fighter and ripping it apart to dust.

But although their numbers were thinning, the Communion spacecraft still had enough to focus on what they clearly viewed as the primary threat, the heroes and villains in the air.  Both Radion and Gremlin managed to dodge the blasts from needle fighters that came after them.  Their younger charges were not quite as lucky.

Both Iceflame and Avatar were hit by the blast of green energy from needle fighters.  Iceflame was knocked off her flight path, clearly hurt and dazed by the attack.  But Avatar managed to twist just in time that the blast that hit her was only a glancing one, and caused little damage.

Both Young Britannia and Stella were targeted by needle fighters as well, both being hit by blasts of green energy.  Stella winced in pain as she was hit, but she remained conscious and still in the fight, at least for the moment.  The Italian heroine quickly turned and sent a beam of light at the needle fighter that attacked her, blasting it from the sky.

Down on the ground

Only a handful of needle fighters managed to slip past the aerial battle, a pair crashing to the ground on either side of the UNISON headquarters, immediately releasing the antibodies contained within as they did.

As the steam began to clear around where Ulysses had dealt with the majority of the antibodies that had been threatening to swarm the defenders, the young man in the brown leather jacket looked around at the fallen antibodies as he gave a small smirk.  "Not bad old man."  He commented, before firing a blast of energy at one of the antibodies still standing.  However, the Communion antibody withstood the attack, causing a frown to come to the young man's face.

On the opposite side of the building, Stonewall swept one of his long arms at the two antibodies that were attacking him, hitting both of them, although only one was smashed apart.

Foreshadow weighed the option of leaving the building in Yama's care.  He certainly had the skills to get the job done.  But, on the off chance more ships did indeed crash into the building every second of coverage counted.  The last things he wanted in order of concern were for Synapse or the ships to find themselves overrun.

"I'll stay in.  Don't know about your guys.  But, my friends are definitely capable of holding down the fort.  Least I can do is help make sure that the Communion doesn't sneak in while they're tearing the robo zombies to bits."  Victory didn't feel out of reach.  They just had to keep holding on.
