Supercape
Ok so somewhat railroading into a dilemna for you guys...let me know how you feel about IC! Link to comment
caelcormac
In strict defiance of your wishes, I'm tackling this Ooc first Jason's first instinct will be to try and think of a loophole or other legal precisely that explains why the quarantine does not actually apply to him. You want a Civics roll for that? Link to comment
Supercape
That works fine: DC 25 should do the trick (it is somewhat obscure and tricky). However, it only partially absolves the problem, as persuading others of the loophole may be another story! (i.e the difference between legally leaving and leaving without conflict!) Still, lets see what happens! Link to comment
caelcormac
Knowledge (Civics) DC 25: 1d20+11 24 So close! Welp, since I can't think of a real reason, legally, I need to think of something else. Link to comment
caelcormac
There, long winded speeches fix everything. I learned that on TV so it must be true. Link to comment
Supercape
Okey dokey: Close call so Ill incorperate that in the IC! Link to comment
Supercape
So I suggest a scene cut to the graveyard if you guys are up for it: Feel free to post collecting some torches and spades if you wish, or just to reply! Link to comment
caelcormac
I'm good with skipping to the graveyard, but I figure I'd let Exaccus get a word in edgewise firsy Link to comment
Supercape
Ok its search roll times; given the prospect of breaking the quarantine, time is of the essence so no taking 20! (And don't worry, failing a search wont mean the adventure stops!) Its DC 15, but -4 Penalty for using torches and poor lighting. Lets give the infravision a chance: its not perfect without hot living flesh, but Jasons penalty is reduced to -2. Link to comment
caelcormac
Searching for Fun (gus)!: 1d20+1 6 Jason is good at finding things. Like his toes, or Very large buildings Link to comment
Supercape
Ok, ya blind bats! Feel free to post stumbling around, tripping over gravestones, and stubbing toes! Then, lets throw some notice rolls! Link to comment
caelcormac
I use skill Mastery to take 10, for 19 on my notice. Link to comment
Exaccus
lets see what i can see! 1d20+6=18 Link to comment
Supercape
Its enough to spot the thing and not get surprised! Initiative Rolls please: Green Blob: 1d20=7 Note: At present, the blob itself is fifty feet away, and as such will be partially concealed due to darkness. Its tentacles are not so concealed! Link to comment
Exaccus
Initiative 1d20=19 Looks like im on a roll, waiting for a fall. Link to comment
caelcormac
Initiative: 1d20 14 Still faster than fungus! Link to comment
Supercape
Round 1: 19 - Ulysses, Unharmed, 2 HP 14 - Jason, Unharmed, 1 HP 10 - Officer Groats, Unharmed 7 - Green Blob, Unharmed Ulysses is up! Link to comment
Exaccus
I'll delay to act on jasons turn and potentially team attack with him via pnumatic pugilism ! Roll coming soon I hopepneumatic pugilist: 1d20 2 plus 8 is 10, ah well Edited January 16, 2015 by Exaccus Link to comment
Supercape
A miss I am afraid! Feel free to post that...and then Jason S is up! Link to comment
caelcormac
Whack it with a shovel: 1d20+10 13 I hit it with a shovel...maybe. Do I hit the damn thing? Link to comment
Supercape
Actually, you do! As its with a shovel, thats an improvised weapon, but it is not stronger than your strength bonus so no additional bonus damage (but it does protect you against touching it!) so its a DC 25 Toughness save, and 1d20+12=22 it picks up a bruise! Post awaaay! Link to comment
Supercape
So Fungus will attack Jason, who bruised it! Its defence is a measly -2 (or +2 for a limb), but its attack is better: 1d20+6=13 but not good enough! Basically a round of wailing and flailing! And now: Round 2: 19 - Ulysses, Unharmed, 2 HP 14 - Jason, Unharmed, 1 HP 10 - Officer Groats, Unharmed 7 - Green Blob, Bruised Ulysses is up! Link to comment
Exaccus
thinking Ill stunt up Boiler breath(Damage 10; Heat, Steam, Ideas; Extras: Area:cone (100ft), Secondary effect; Flaws: Action (full) Power feats: subtle, Precise) {22/26} idea being its a cone of raw heat that will force the moisture out of the fungus and leave it in a cloud of superheated steam. precise is there to hopefuly prevent it from transfering from the fungi to the potentialy living host as i imagine that would be a terrible thing to do to a living person. Link to comment
Supercape
Boiler Breath works fine for me: I shall assume you are using extra effort for that. 1d20+12=29 an unfortunately high toughness save, although secondary effect still comes into play. Post away! Meaning Jason S is up! Link to comment
