Avenger Assembled Posted April 18, 2015 Author Posted April 18, 2015 Good question, Shaen! Nothing on the killer's scent - but you notice a familiar machine oil smell from Kashima and the robots.
N/A Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Stealth check with Hide In Plain Sight to leave: 20. Remind me to buy more Skill Mastery ranks, since I can't seem to roll higher than a 5.Kingsnake will try to use the Tracking on his "normal" olfactory sense to pick up a trail to follow, and he'll use the Speed+Swinging from his Device for travel.
Avenger Assembled Posted April 19, 2015 Author Posted April 19, 2015 OK, that'll be pretty easy. All right, guys, it's time cut time!Go ahead and tell me what your character is doing for the next 24 hours or so, with die rolls for whatever you're attempting.
N/A Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 (edited) Kingsnake will hit the streets to try to find out if anyone knows who caused the earthquakes and why, and whether or not Namazu and their new pet superhero were involved. He'll pounce on people in dark alleys, beat up dive bars full of lowlifes, and generally put the squeeze on whoever looks like they might know something. He'll take an hour for a Gather Information check, taking 10 to hit DC25. If for whatever reason he needs to roll, then he gets...25. If he needs to make an Intimidation check to change someone's attitude, then he'll get...34. He's not messing around.Unless he finds out something that directs him away from Namazu, then that's the next item on his to-do list. He'll try to quietly break into their local HQ and see if he can find any evidence of their involvement. He'll take 20 on any Disable Device checks if possible (DC35), or he'll take 10 if he has to (DC25), and if he needs to roll, he gets...24. If a +2 from Extra Effort will make the difference between success and failure on that, he'll suck up the Fatigue. He'll take 10 on any Stealth checks if possible (DC25). If he has to roll, he gets...16 (Natural 1!). If that would get him caught, I'll gladly burn a Hero Point for a re-roll.He'll take 10 on any Search checks with Skill Mastery (DC30).If he needs to squeeze through any tight spaces (ducts, pipes, etc.), he'll either take 10 (DC20), or, if that won't do it, burn a HP for Ultimate Effort to hit DC30.If he needs to climb anything, he'll take 10 with Skill Mastery (DC25). If he has to roll, he'll get...28. Again, if +2 from Extra Effort to hit DC30 will make the difference between success and failure, he'll gladly accept the Fatigue. Vahnyu Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Hmm, a busy day for Net Fly lays ahead. If possible, Net Fly will use his Datalink to directly interract with the salvaged machine parts, taking 20 in his Computer checks.Net Fly will resume giving his assistance on the relief, until most the immediate danger has passed. When he's done with that, he will focus on the salvaged machine completely. He will use his all around expertise with machines, in order to restore any damage they may have had, take the machine appart and find information about it, Taking 20 (or 10 if not able to) on the following skills, if applicable: Craft[Electronics] 10, Craft[Mechanics] 6, Disable Device 15, Computers 18, and Knowledge[Technology] 10. See if there's also any synergy to be had. Finally, Net Fly will cross-referrence his findings, as well as look for information about Namazu Technologies, the new Hero associated with it, and the earthquake, using his Datalink, Online Research, and taking 20 on his Computers checks (For a total of 38). If the language barrier proves too cumbersome for him to overcome (ie, not enough available english-language contents on the net), he will invent a text-parser/translator/interpreter from Japanese-to-and-from-English that crossreferrences online dictionaries. Taking 10 on those checks, as I doubt it will be more than 3PP worth. Will Extra Effort a couple of Quickness ranks, so that it won't take more than an hour's worth of work.
Avenger Assembled Posted April 22, 2015 Author Posted April 22, 2015 All right, TiffK and Heritage? Any die-rolls/extra stuff you wanted to do?
Heritage Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Let's say Grim goes out to help create more shelters and/or shores up damaged buildings with Craft (Structural) before she calls Serge. I'll do one roll for each.Making shelters: 12 Boo!Maybe she should take extra time to build them! Taking 10 would give her DC20 on additional projects.
Heritage Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Gretchen will also continue her volunteer duties, by the way.
Heritage Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 I'm going to go ahead and trim the end of my last post; it sounds like the PCs won't really have a chance to talk before the Prime Minister's speech, and with that kind of devastation, Grim should be a lot less chipper.
Heritage Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 I assume the date of the PM's announcement is April 4th, not May 4th? ;)
Avenger Assembled Posted April 25, 2015 Author Posted April 25, 2015 Namazu is an old company - like many in Japan, it can trace its roots back over a thousand years. Originally a ryokan-operating company from the south, they relocated to Hokkaido in the 1870s and have been here ever since. They specialize in high-tech construction, largely dominating the meta-science market here in Hokkaido since most of their competitors are located much further south in Japan. Like many companies of its age, it's stayed in the same family for most of all that time. The current company President, Ken Namazu, was something of a media fixture for a few years after he took over the company in 2010, but has become something of a recluse in the last eighteen months. The closest thing to a scandal you can find at this point is Namazu's politics - they were a major supplier of military hardware during WWII (and continue to be a major supplier to the Japanese Self-Defense Force) and are active in Japanese far-right politics, funding conservative political candidates, donating textbooks that downplay the atrocities committed by Japanese troops during WWII, and the like.
Avenger Assembled Posted May 20, 2015 Author Posted May 20, 2015 Initiative time, probably. Kashima will go on http://orokos.com/roll/291418 =23 Electro Guy will go on http://orokos.com/roll/291419 = 6

Avenger Assembled Posted May 24, 2015 Author Posted May 24, 2015 That does nothing! Have an HP, V. Kashima drops an area attack on the rooftop area - this is Burst Area Damage. DC 22 Reflex save to halve/evade DC 27 Tou save.I'll go ahead and make an IC post once I have everybody's saves.
Tiffany Korta Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 (edited) Triakosia's Reflex Save: 1d20+6 25 that's enough to reduce it to half, which put the damage below her Impervious so she should be fine. Edited May 25, 2015 by Tiffany Korta
Heritage Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Grim's Reflex save: 1d20+16=32 Pretty sure that means no damage for her, but I'll double check.
Avenger Assembled Posted May 25, 2015 Author Posted May 25, 2015 Your post looks wonky, TK, and info is missing.
