Thevshi
Hmm, yeah, M&M is not the best system for something like that. So, I will call this an opposed Str check (with the car getting its grapple bonus for extra size added as well). If you succeed, you stop the car and take a half effect of a slam from the car hitting you. If you miss, you take the full slam effect (and do not stop the car). Link to comment
Mad Scientist
Extra Effort on your Super Strength for the Bracing effect might be helpful -- Immovable is the power meant for stopping speeding cars, trains, and so forth. Link to comment
GooseInduced
Does she even have a chance with a 22 str? Link to comment
Thevshi
Yeah, I am going to change things slightly, you will take your Str, plus any Superstrength (I think she only has 1 rank?) vs the car’s Str plus a +1 per size category larger. The car’s total roll bonus would be +12, so it would have an advantage, but it would not be impossible. Link to comment
GooseInduced
Yeah, only one (for now) Here goes *fingers crossed* Str Check (vs Car): 1d20+7 13 Well.... that didn't go as planned. Can I burn an HP to try that again? EDIT I tried to stay up and get this done but I HAVE to get to bed. Three long days of work before my next day off. I will try and finish this up when I get home tomorrow night. Edited April 6, 2015 by GooseInduced Link to comment
Thevshi
No worries Goose, work has been rather crazy for me as well. You can go ahead and spend a hero point if you want Goose. Link to comment
GooseInduced
Can I see what I need to beat first or do I have to have my result first? If you roll a 20 there really isn't a point in trying XD Link to comment
Thevshi
Sure, the car only gets a 15!, so, you are going to win regardless of what you roll by spending a hero point! The car gets a 19 on its toughness save so picks up a bit more damage in addition to being brought to a halt (although it is not so badly damaged that it cannot try to get moving again) Give me a DC 18 toughness save to see if you take any damage from the stunt and go ahead and post! Mad Scientist
And make sure to include the appropriate banter: "Red means STOP!!" And apologize to Laserdwarf. :P Link to comment
Thevshi
Hehe, that is true. Lazer, will need another Reflex save (or acrobatic check) for Coiled (we will call it DC 18) Link to comment
ca_lazerdwarf
I didn't want to mention it mention it because I didn't want to discourage goose. If Lightning doesn't suffer for his poor decisions, he's never going to learn. Reflex - Surviving Crash: 1d20+7 8 Seems it was a VERY poor decision... hmm... How fast was this car going? Thevshi
Cal it a DC 20 toughness save. Link to comment

Thevshi
Ouch, well, that is bruised and dazed. Go ahead and post Goose (and make your toughness save as well) Link to comment
GooseInduced
Ah crap . Sorry lazer! I was hoping lighting would pass his save!Toughness Save: 1d20+7 19 Skaere Tanks it like a champ! Link to comment
ca_lazerdwarf
We'll hope this is the end of his bad luck. Link to comment
MisterShoebox
Doooh, curse my bad luckings in init rolls. This would have been the perfect opportunity for Phantasmo to 'port into the car, (Maybe sit in an empty seat) and say - "D'you know, I think we should listen to her, duckies! She means buisness!" Thevshi
You know Shoe, I like it! I will say the bad guys are hesitating for the moment, so go ahead and act with Phantasmo! Link to comment
MisterShoebox
Yay! Hmmm...now what would that be? Reflex roll? Link to comment
Thevshi
To teleport inside the car? No roll necessary, you have Accurate, and it is currently stopped. Link to comment
Thevshi
Okay, on to Round Two 26 Wildcat (unharmed, 1 HP) 21 Coiled Lightning (bruised, dazed, 1 HP) 19 Skaere (unharmed, 0 HP) 16 Thugs (4 in car) 10 Phantasmo (unharmed, 1 HP) Wild Cat is up! Link to comment
Mad Scientist
Wildcat leaps forward and cuts off the left-rear seat thug, lashing out with a kick designed to knock his feet out from under him. Attack Roll: Trip: 1d20+5 21 Trip: STR check: 1d20+6 13 Link to comment
Thevshi
Unfortunately he manages to beat that with a 18 Link to comment
