Sam nodded and gestured hastily, her mouth being full of muffin at the moment (Lance was quickly rising on her list of favorite people). She swallowed, then looked around at the smiling faces of her new coworkers, wondering how the hell she was going to remember all their names. She also quietly hoped that the nickname "Sam I Am" wouldn't stick. Although it was, admittedly, a lot better than any of her nicknames in junior high had been.

She got the feeling that something was expected of her. "Look forward to working with you all and...thanks for having me." It wasn't exactly what you would call a stirring speech, but words had never been her strong suit.
