Ecalsneerg Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 (edited) Hayley isn't going to do anything unless she specifically gets attacked or whammied.Equinox is going to plump for her usual method of ignore her toolbox of magical tricks and shoot enough elemental magic at stuff to level a city block. Use her Blast 11, with a descriptor of physical slashing/piercing/whatever because it's all sharp stuff, not actual physical cold. All-Out Power Attack for 2. Aim at the staggered auroch, not the one beset by winged birds.BLIZZARD TIME: 1d20+11 25 Assuming a 25 hits a giant monster, that's a DC 28 hit. Edited August 4, 2015 by Ecalsneerg
Gizmo Posted August 4, 2015 Author Posted August 4, 2015 Giant AurochToughness Save vs DC 28: 1d20+19 20A natural 1! Since it's already Staggered I'm going to call that knocked out.26 - Wraith - Uninjured, -2 Defense, 2HP24 - Revenant - Uninjured, 1HP22 - Citizen - Uninjured, -5 Defense/+5 Defense, 2HP20 - Nick Cimitiere - Uninjured, 5HP19 - Blue Fox - Uninjured, 5HP18 - Ghost Girl - Dazed, 3HP14 - Temperance - Uninjured, 3HP10 - Papercut - Uninjured, 3HP9 - Equinox - Uninjured, 4HP9 - Hayley - Uninjured> 7 - Comrade Frost - Uninjured, 1HP2 - Giant Auroch - Blinded, Pending Secondary Effect
Avenger Assembled Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Comrade Frost flies up to the blinded aurochs and uses his Paralyze http://orokos.com/roll/314216 = 26!That's a DC 22 Fortitude save.
Gizmo Posted August 5, 2015 Author Posted August 5, 2015 Giant AurochFortitude Save vs DC 22: 1d20+15 33 Nope!The Auroch remains Blinded until it can try to make a save on Koshiro's turn so it thrashes around: 50% Miss Chance: 1d2 1 It doesn't manage to hit anyone.> 26 - Wraith - Uninjured, 2HP24 - Revenant - Uninjured, 1HP22 - Citizen - Uninjured, -5 Defense/+5 Defense, 2HP20 - Nick Cimitiere - Uninjured, 5HP19 - Blue Fox - Uninjured, 5HP18 - Ghost Girl - Dazed, 3HP14 - Temperance - Uninjured, 3HP10 - Papercut - Uninjured, 3HP9 - Equinox - Uninjured, 4HP9 - Hayley - Uninjured7 - Comrade Frost - Uninjured, 1HP2 - Giant Auroch - Blinded, Pending Secondary Effect
Fox Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Wraith is unhappy.Move Action: Shapeshift.Damage 5 (Extras: Alternate Save (Reflex); Flaws: Distracting; Feats: All-Out Attack, Improved Critical 2 [18-20], Mighty, Power Attack) [10/10pp]Standard Action: Charge! It's...technically a melee attack....Melee Attack Roll vs. Auroch (ewwwww; +2 Charge, -5/+5 Power Attack, +5/-5 All-Out Attack) (1d20 + 12 + 2 - 5 + 5=27)Was kinda hoping for the crit. Ah, well.DC32 Reflex vs. Lethal Damage for the Auroch. If that doesn't take it down, she'll surge for a second attack, which I'll go ahead and roll for expediency:Melee Attack Roll vs. Auroch [SURGE] (ewwwww; -5/+5 Power Attack, +5/-5 All-Out Attack) (1d20 + 12 - 5 + 5=15)....whiiiich is insufficient for my purposes and Wraith's dedication to lethality. Assuming she has to use that surge and that doesn't hit, she'll reroll it (again, for expediency):Melee Attack REROLL vs. Auroch [SURGE] (ewwwww; -5/+5 Power Attack, +5/-5 All-Out Attack) (1d20 + 12 - 5 + 5=27)Either way, Wraith's at -5 defense until her next turn if we remain in combat. If she had to surge, she's fatigued; if she had to reroll, she's down a hero point.
Gizmo Posted August 5, 2015 Author Posted August 5, 2015 Giant AurochReflex Save vs DC 32: 1d20+6 17Messy!Alright, we are out of combat!
Gizmo Posted August 20, 2015 Author Posted August 20, 2015 Let me get Knowledge [Arcane] checks from everybody involved in the ritual itself!
Gizmo Posted August 24, 2015 Author Posted August 24, 2015 Alright, everyone has a chance to react IC here. Ritual folks can describe how they're going about charging up their object and everyone else can do their version of, "Ooh, pretty lights," as desired.Meanwhile, for characters not part of the ritual, start hitting me with Initiative checks!
Gizmo Posted August 27, 2015 Author Posted August 27, 2015 Jotun SkeletonsInitiative: 1d20+3 11> 33 - Blue Fox - Uninjured, 6HP [BLUFF]23 - Papercut - Uninjured, 4HP [WEST]13 - Citizen - Uninjured, 3HP [WEST]12 - Wraith - Uninjured, 3HP [BLUFF]12 - Temperance - Uninjured, 4HP [BLUFF]11 - Jotun Skeletons - Uninjured x36 [WEST]9 - Revenant - Uninjured, 2HP [BLUFF]A couple of notes! First off, unless otherwise mentioned all the monsters in this fight will be minions so Take 10, use Takedown Attack and so on as you will. Second, this is going to cover the whole area around the bluff which is pretty big so I'll be dividing things up into five areas: each quadrant and the bluff itself. That'll be a bigger deal once there are threats coming from multiple directions, oh ho ho! We'll be keeping track of the rough location of each character in the initiative order to make things clearer. Third, Eve has linked up who she can with her telepathy so feel free to use that Communication in-character as appropriate!
Gizmo Posted August 28, 2015 Author Posted August 28, 2015 Sorus is having Eve bide her time for now, so Papercut is up!
Electra Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Koshiro's going to spend an HP to power stunt an area attack against the skeletons! Blast 8 (Extra: Area [Targeted, Cone]) {24/24}
Gizmo Posted August 28, 2015 Author Posted August 28, 2015 If he positions it right, that's big enough to catch four of the giant skeletons!Jotun SkeletonsToughness Save vs DC 23: 4#1d20+13 16 16 26 2433 - Blue Fox - Uninjured, 6HP [BLUFF]23 - Papercut - Uninjured, 3HP [WEST]> 13 - Citizen - Uninjured, 3HP [WEST]12 - Wraith - Uninjured, 3HP [BLUFF]12 - Temperance - Uninjured, 4HP [BLUFF]11 - Jotun Skeletons - Uninjured x34 [WEST]9 - Revenant - Uninjured, 2HP [BLUFF]
Avenger Assembled Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 since it's worked so well for him so far, Sharl is gonna swing for the fences again. He'll fly up to one of the Jotun skeletons and All-Out Power Attack it. http://orokos.com/roll/320600 = 25! That's a DC 35 Tou save for as many skeletons as he can Takedown Attack. The DC to hit him has dropped to 16.
Gizmo Posted August 28, 2015 Author Posted August 28, 2015 As discussed in chat, we're fudging the way Takedown Attack works a little bit since the skeletons are more than 5' apart.Jotun SkeletonsToughness Save vs DC 35: 7#1d20+13 22 20 30 30 15 18 3333 - Blue Fox - Uninjured, 6HP [BLUFF]23 - Papercut - Uninjured, 3HP [WEST]13 - Citizen - Uninjured, -5 Defense, 3HP [WEST]> 12 - Wraith - Uninjured, 3HP [BLUFF]12 - Temperance - Uninjured, 4HP [BLUFF]11 - Jotun Skeletons - Uninjured x27 [WEST]9 - Revenant - Uninjured, 2HP [BLUFF]
