angrydurf Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 There was a field trip. To the Hunter Natural History Museum no less, which was basically from what Huang guessed a visit with his namesake minus the chance at decent dim sum. Reasonably enough he found both reason and means to evade the buddy system and do some research of his own. It was like ferris bueller's day off meets the craft, so bound to be full of awesome right? The sun overhead was still too bright as he slipped unseen out the employee entrance to the Hunter museum and jogged across the street toward the park. Pulling his sunglasses from the void, with some aid from the ever helpful denizens that allowed him to find his things despite his corner of the void looking precisely as one would expect a realm of chaos and shadow imprinted by the mind of a sixteen year old boy, he gathered his bearings. Finding a likely gate he began to make his way through the tree lined paths towards heroes' knoll hoping to use the sympathetic energies of the hero statues therein to trace a theory he had developed about the mysterious Hepcat.Of course keeping his eyes from the sky avoiding the brightness of the sun he took no notice of the gathering of unatural shadows over the knoll nor the slow thrumming build of dark magics in the heart of the monuments.
Gizmo Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 For a deity of shadows Set had never really placed a focus on subtlety. Certainly she was stealthy enough to evade Sekhmet's watchful - and frequently disapproving - gaze for the afternoon, though she'd be paying for sending the feline goddess on a wild ibis chase down the line, she knew. Lounging in the branches of a Liberty Park tree in her distinctive crimson-trimmed garb wasn't the most effective way to stay hidden, however, especially once she started waving and blowing kisses to anyone who noticed her above their heads, posing for their snapshots. Still, sometime one just had to get out of the apartment and there weren't that many days of pleasantly warm weather before New Jersey's colder months made their presence felt. The strikingly dimpled young man headed for the memorial garden apparently didn't have much regard for subtlety, either, opening a little pocket-sized portal that hummed seductively with chaos just to retrieve his sunglasses. Then again, perhaps Set simply knew what to look for when it came to that sort of magic and they were terribly cool sunglasses. Curiosity piqued, the godling swung her her lithe frame about the branch, hanging upside down over the pathway from her knees to get a better look. If she seemed mostly focused on trying to guess what the curious mage's buttocks looked like underneath his unseasonably long coat, well. Set had never really placed a focus on subtlety.
angrydurf Posted September 5, 2015 Author Posted September 5, 2015 Huang wasn't so oblivious to his surroundings that he hadn't noticed the vague crowding of assorted passerby pausing for snapshots of the setlebrity. He angled slightly around the most recent clump trodding on the lush grass as he evaded rubbing elbows with the amatuer paparazzi. He did turn to look back however not being so jaded as to take such a sighting completely in stride and caught sight of the limber godling flip agilely to hang and look at something behind him. A small smile crimped is lips just the tips of his fangs visible for a moment before he looked back over his shoulder trying to see what she must be looking at. Even to mortal eyes the knoll of heroes had taken on a more sinister cast, to his eyes trained in the arts arcane it was clear there was sorcery afoot and safe money wasn't on the friendly kind. With a gesture as if scooping water over his face and a few resonant syllables of latin he washed away the veil that hid magic from the mundane world to try and puzzle what was being conjured on the hillock above. Set would see the attractive youth framed against the deepening shadows over the memorials with darkness not unlike what was hers to command. The residents of the city, too long familiar with such oddities already were slowly backing away looking about to Set either concerned the seemingly reformed godling could be responsible or expecting the famed entity to intervene.Huang remained in place as the sky over Heroes Knoll darkened not from clouds but as if some force had banished the light of Ra, or perhaps devoured it.
Gizmo Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 With an annoyed sound, Set dropped the rest of the way from the tree branch, flipping midair to land lightly on her sandals. "Very well, safe distance time, fair citizens! I love you too, kisses, now shoo!" Dusting herself off leisurely to remove any little twigs that might have made the trip with her, the godling tossed her brick red dreadlocks over her shoulders and adjusted the straps of her cross halter. Sauntering over to the young man in the trench coat she rested a fore arm on his taller shoulder in a familiar manner and followed his gaze upward. "Hail, handsome. Be that your work blotting out the sun's life giving rays? If so, I'm bothered little but I do know some individuals who might take rather pronounced offense. With the burning and the smiting and so forth. Disagreeable stuff for most varieties of pale, fanged sorts, I'm given to understand." She turned her head enough to give him a winning smile, perfect ivory teeth framed by dark brown-black lipstick that matched the kohl outlining her piercing grey eyes.
angrydurf Posted September 6, 2015 Author Posted September 6, 2015 (edited) Huang started only slightly at the casual contact when the god joined him in examining the sorcery afoot. Eyes lambent with his own magic he looked down at Set and quirked a brow with a slight smirk dimpling one cheek, "I could ask the same of you stormbringer." Huang replied though his tone made clear he was not among the mystics still bent out of shape over the gods previous incarnation. "But you and I both know things are not always as they seem." he pointed to the deepening darkness, "What we see from here is but a side effect of the powers being called upon within the memorial." he explained and began to step toward the event as he offered, "They are summoning something, though I've not seen magic of this flavor in my studies." He turned and shrugged, "Shall we investigate?" he asked and on silent feet and clinging to the deepening shadows he slowly crept towards the ritual in progress. Once the pair reached the outskirts of the memorial glade robed figures could be seen roaming among the statues of fallen heroes, serpentine ritual daggers at their belts were embossed with gold and the hilt shaped in the gaping maw of an asp. The Black robes they wore were accented with bright green hieroglyphics, declarations of their devotion to Set the Destroyer. In the center of the monument the high cultist and his closest aids chanted in poorly conjugated coptic their ceremonial headdress emblazoned with the fanged serpents favored by Set's predecessor. In the center of their circle they profaned the idol of Horus the Avenger as their chanting reached a fever pitch and dark cracks formed along the surface of the statue as the air filled with the scent of ozone and sulfur. Gizmo Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 "Eugh, how embarrassing," Set whispered into the dhampir's ear as she spotted the cultist's snake themed outfits, pressed closer against his back and shoulder than was really necessary for stealth purposes alone. Seeing which statue was being desecrated, however, he back abruptly straightened and Huang felt a hot breath on the back of his neck accompanying a low, canine growl. "Pardon me a moment."The godling strode out into plain view, smirking face replaced by a long snout and tall, conical ears covered in short black fur, all narrowed eyes and sharp teeth. "Ho, aspholes! Set would have words with thee!" she snarled, accent becoming more pronounced as crimson electricity rippled up and down from her fingertips to her forearms.
angrydurf Posted September 7, 2015 Author Posted September 7, 2015 (edited) Huang certainly didn't seem to mind the gods closeness turning his head slightly to reply when Set stepped out adopting his more traditional mein. A small wince and sigh escaped Huangs lips as he tried rather fruitlessly to stop the god before interrupting the ritual, "Gah no," he hushed and grumbled under his breath as he saw the distraction begin to fray the workings of the spell, "this isn't even perversions of Thoths teachings, these are infernalists." he said perhaps mostly to himself as it was too late now, "Though they may not know that." He hoped the ritual would collapse on itself and merely dissipate but he had a feeling these amateur hour cultists had not erected separate bindings and wards and if something really wanted through it was gonna come through. Among the cultists in the center the least among them prostrated themselves immediately upon Sets revelation. Three of the high cultists aids turned from their works to raise their arms in worshipful praise of their god, "Oh dark one you walk among us once more!" they incanted with the light of demented faith burning in their eyes, "We will free your true power and true self from the prison Horus the Pretender has cast it!" one ecstatically shrieked. Already even to untrained eyes the distraction was clearly sending wild surges of magic through the ritual as the statue thrummed and throbbed with power and the sigils and hieroglyphs upon the flagstones throbbed with dark energies in discordant wild bursts. The High Cultist hissed at his brethren, "No brothers!" he censured, "The ritual! Be not distracted by this false and mewling pretender!" Edited September 7, 2015 by angrydurf
angrydurf Posted September 7, 2015 Author Posted September 7, 2015 (edited) The damage had however already been done the ritual disrupted the entity they called forth now unbound. Ouroboros rose from where he crouched behind one of the statues to stride towards where Set stood, "Hipster cultists." he seemed to lament, "I dare say they feel this re-imaging campaign is a sell out." he suggested with a grin as he turned toward the gathered cultists adding over his shoulder, "Thing are about to get interesting, I'll follow your lead." he offered as the fissures in the Horus statue widened and a black sulfurous smoke poured forth to pool in the center of the cultists disrupted circle. As the smoke cleared a towering scaled form was revealed head and shoulders taller than the young Magus who had joined Set, scintillating scales of red and green and gold covered the heavily muscled body of hte entity. Long arms ending in wicked claws dripping with ichorous venom, its broad shoulders topped by a hooded cobras head its maw stretched wide revealing sickle like fangs as it bellowed its arrival, "This world shall be devoured in darkness!" The thing lashed at the nearest cultist who withered and weakened as the creature drained the years from him the essence of the cultist feeding and strengthening the Demon as the energies of the cultists life shimmered in the scaled form of the beast. Dropping the husk to the ground it pointed at Set, "Foolish little one you are nothing the face of the power of the DESTROYER!" it declared with a rasping laugh.Ouroboros was somewhat taken aback by the demons arrival, he'd expected a summoning this however was a greater power than he anticipated the cultists mustering. "Can't say that I'm in favor of that," He murmured, "That's where I keep most of my things." Slashing one hand through the air in front of him Ouroboros drew a warding sign in the air the magic hanging in the air before him as he incanted the spell, "Spirits of darkness from beyond, By the Mysteries of the Modrossus you are bound!" as the sorcerous words carried over the memorial grounds the symbol he drew expanded and flashed as it enveloped the demon is a shimmering blue green light, "That oughta hold big ugly." he said with a cocky smile. The cultists rose and gathered drawing their daggers and those nearest charged the 'mewling pretender' as well as the sorcerer who seemed to bind their 'true god' while the cultist the demon had attacked turned on the creature to weakly slash at the beasts scaled body. The high cultist slashed at Ouroboros though the sorcerer evaded his blows, the remaining three high ranked cultists stabbed at the nimble Set though the mortals clumsy blows were like so much wind to the agile heliopian. Gizmo Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 "Rrrr... So. Irritating," Set growled, finding considerably less mirth in the situation that the dhampir as she sidestepped a dagger thrust. It would be one thing if the cultist had simply been questioning her claim to her own name, she reflected darkly as she took a step forward and her exposed flesh rippled, reforming into little overlapping scales of emerald green, but she had seen her brother's memory slandered more than enough recently and actually managing to summon a passably dangerous bottom feeder on top of everything simply tore it. "Someone needs to protect you imbeciles from yourselves. Ugh." Waving her arms in a circular arcane gesture brought waves of sand bursting from the bases of the nearby statues, streams of particulate joining together and sweeping over the hill in overlapping sheets. The less experienced among the cultists were buried alive immediately, protected from suffocation by the mystic nature of the attack but pinned and unable to do themselves or anyone else any additional harm. Their leaders fared slightly better, two of them keeping their heads above the dunes while two more kept themselves free and clear. Somewhat mollified, the godling called to Ouroboros, "Merely focus on the gauche goblin, handsome. Surely you can keep that raised and rigid for a respectable duration, hm?"
angrydurf Posted September 8, 2015 Author Posted September 8, 2015 (edited) "Never had any complaints." Ouroboros replied easily taking his eye from the demon for a moment as he evaded the clumsy strikes of the high cultist. "Just give up already you're beat." the youth taunted as the dagger whisked past him catching naught but air, "The much better dressed Set is even here to stop you this is just sad." Overconfidence was probably a bit genetic."Pitiful mortals!" the demon bellowed angrily as Sets sands enveloped the bulk of the cultists, "Must I do everything myself!" the thing hissed one wickedly clawed hand easily grasping and hoisting the husk of former cultist still weakly struggling against the titans grip. With a snarl the creature smashed the cultist through the barrier the distracted magus had erected the limp body rolling across the turbulent sands to come to rest at most unnatural angles. THe demon itself was too large to writhe through the hole but one clawed hand reached out stretching toward the heroes.Ouroboros was clearly caught off guard when his barrier was breached by the demon, "Strong bastard." he growled as he set his jaw and planted his feet blue-green light arcing from his outstretched hand to slowly push the demon back within its confines and with a pulse of mystic energy reinforce the weakened barrier. "That should hold." the teen murmured with less confidence than moments ago but not much less. As the High Priest continued to stab its envenomed dagger at the dhampir to no greater effect he scoffed once more, "Dude quit it I'm working here." Before Set the remaining ritual participants continued their attacks, those enveloped by the sands struggling to bring their daggers to bear when with a snarl the final free cultist bellowed a shrill battle cry, "By the might of the Destroyer begone pretender!" before bringing her dagger down in a wicked and Deadly arc to strike at the heliopan only to lose her footing on the loose sands and stumble at the last moment the blow flying wide. Gizmo Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 Set didn't even bother moving to dodge the strike, looking disdainfully bored as the cultist slipped at the last moment as though she'd known what was about to happen. "Feh. Posuer. Cannot even handle a little chaos magic." The sky above the preternatural darkness rumbled threateningly and a bolt of crimson lightning rocketed downward from on high, crashing over the stumbling cultist like a tidal wave of power; not enough to smite the man outright but certainly enough to make him think twice about attacking Set's august personage again. "Nor a lot of chaos magic, eh? A brand should never apologize for becoming more marketable, wretch!" she sneered, head shifting back to human form so that she could properly convey the expression, albeit covered in the same protective scales she'd grown upon seeing the summoned creature. She shot a grin toward the dhampir, momentarily unconcerned by the continued fight. "Ha, retro, wretch-ro."
angrydurf Posted September 9, 2015 Author Posted September 9, 2015 "Wow still?" Ouroboros questioned with disbelief as the dhampir sidestepped yet another slash of the ritual blade by the incompetent or unlucky cultist in his serpentine garb.Behind the barrier however the demon continued to batter the arcane walls containing it's fearsome might. With a growl and string of abyssal curses it roared its outrage at the interference with its plans, "Fools you cannot contain the devourer of light!" it bellowed its voice reverberating with rage and chaotic power. Raising its clawed hands it drove them through the barrier tearing a gaping hole in the mystic ward and slowly straining to wrench the gap further open still, "I will not be contained by your petty sorcery!"Ouroboros grimaced as his blockade wavered once ore under the demons assault, "Well then perhaps it is time for something different," he mused quietly as he searched his memory for clues as to the true nature of the beast before them, "Devourer of light huh?" he finally said with a slow smile, "now that does ring a bell." Dropping his hands to his side the magus let the barrier crumble under the demonic assault as he raised his arms gathering the energy for his next spell. Limned in a radiant light he slowly chanted in an archaic dialect of latin,"Et per ipsam sigillationem rotae, lumine et logos,Quacumque die invocavero virtutem Abbridon,Hoc reddit spiritum abyssum irent."His voice raising as the chant built until with a final call he splayed one hand toward the demon releasing a wave of light that clung to the thrashing creature for a long moment before a rent in the earth beneath its feet split and shadowy hands drug the creature of darkness back to the abyss from which it came. As the banishment took hold Ouroborus stepped back from his attacker and slumped over with the exertion of the spell hands on knees chest heaving. "I hope everyone saw that. Because I shall not be doing it again."The assorted cultists that were able struggled to be free of the binding sands the true Set had summoned or in the case of the most recent target of the gods wrath merely struggled to crawl away from the fearsome display of real godly might. The high cultist stood agape as the Demon was pulled from this plane by those trapped beyond and slowly shook his head, "Inconceivable." he murmured before beginning a syllabant chant of his own his features slowly twisting toward the serpentine as his flesh began stretch and split giving way to darkly mottled scales beneath.
Gizmo Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 "Oh my," Set observed appreciatively as Ouroboros handily undid the cultist's summoning spell, swinging a hip out to one side and tapping a black lacquered nail to her teeth. "You merely stand there and look pretty for a spell, handsome. You, however, with your amateur hour shapeshifting," she continued, casting a glare in the lead cultist's direction as he labourously reworked his own flesh, "would do well to learn not to interrupt a goddess while she be attempting to have a moment. Feh, 'inconceivable'. I shan't even make the popular culture reference." A ball of oily shadowstuff coalesced in her palm, roiling unnaturally before she lobbed in an overhand throw right at the cultist's face where it splattered, tar-like across his eyes. "If you cannot be bothered to bring your 'A' material, I see no reason I should, either."
angrydurf Posted September 12, 2015 Author Posted September 12, 2015 (edited) Ouroboros slowly stood upright once more still a bit unsteady on his feet and wiped sweat form his brow as he gulped a few large breaths of air flashing a thumbs up to Set at the suggested course of action. "At least it has a pleasant view." he suggested with a wink as he watched her work. The Assorted cultists continued to struggle against the grasping sands to no avail however the one who remained free if singed lurching to her feet began to make a staggering jerky run for it her limbs still not entirely willing to follow her commands after the electrical assault of the storm deity. Her leader completed his transformation into a snake of unusual size flicking his serpentine head about as he tried to clear the blinding darkness the goddess had flung in his face. THe sticky mass would not be dislodged and he attempted to flee the scene tongue flicking rapidly as he tried to navigate by smell alone as in the distance the sirens of Freedoms finest could be heard the alarm having been raised by the fleeing citizenry. Gizmo Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 "Well, one does strive to look one's best," Set demurred, tossing her dreadlocks with a wave of one scale covered hand while she snapped the fingers of the other. In response the sticky shadows on the face of the fleeing high cultist bubbled and popped like a failed soufflé, the expanding darkness covering the infernalist's entire head. Tendrils continued to spill across his thrashing limbs with unsettling splurtching sounds until he was completely contained by the tar-like cocoon, going nowhere.Regarding the final cultist still attempting to make good on her escape despite reeling from the earlier lightning strike, Set planted her hands on her hips. "Shall I?" she asked Ouroboros with the same tone as someone hovering over the last candy in the dish. "Or would you like to do the honors?"
angrydurf Posted September 14, 2015 Author Posted September 14, 2015 Ouroboros smiled at the reply the gesture dimpling his cheeks as he stood to look at the fleeing cultist, "Fato Agi Mando." he uttered with a grasping motion aimed at the cultist. At his incantation a grasping hand of blue green energy enveloped the fleeing cultist crushing the breath from her lungs in its firm embrace. Closing his fist and yanking firmly back towards himself and Set the hand mirrored his motion and flung the cultist through the air to crash in an unconscious heap at the foot of the horus statue they had defiled.Turning back to Set he shrugged, "That'll do I think." he replied wryly and tilted his head listening for the sirens with a sigh, "I'm supposed to be with the rest of my dorms on this lame museum trip." he explained with a wink, "Probably should avoid the scrutiny of Freedoms Finest." he explained as his form went hazy calling upon his magics to hide from eyes other than Sets as he slumped in an out of the way corner to catch his breath.
Gizmo Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Set looked in the direction of the sirens and considered. On one hand she would have been more than happy to receive credit for dealing with the cultists and she wanted to make sure the arrangements were made to restore her brother's statue but on the other she didn't particularly want to have the inevitable conversation where she assured the constabulary that just because they were worshiping one of her aspects didn't mean that they were her cultists, per se. Besides, she reflected as she reach behind one ear to pull the emerald scales she'd affected off in a papery sheet that disintegrated in the air, there are better places to focus my attention.Swaggering over to the half wall Ouroboros had taken a seat behind the goddess placed a hand on either side of its top edge, above the dhampir's shoulders. "Ooh, are we hiding, then?" she asked in a husky stage-whisper, leaning forward so that she was hanging over the reclining magus with a sly smile. It was tough to say for certain but Ouroboros thought that her flawless bronze skin might have actually been sparkling subtly. "Am I doing it correctly?"
angrydurf Posted September 14, 2015 Author Posted September 14, 2015 Huangs eyes trailed along the bounty of sparkling bronze skin on display with a slight smile touching his lips the tips of his fangs just showing at the gesture, "Well I can be sure no one is going to be noticing me with you here." he complimented and looked up at her almost challengingly as he crossed his arms behind his head, "But I have the distinct feeling that isn't your interest at the moment." he suggested with a quirk of his brow. Meeting her eyes he was pensive for a short moment before swiftly discarding whatever warnings his father had issued about the threats of the divine, after all Set was practically a patron of the nightstalking breeds right? "What can I say I'm not big on an audience." he lied, he just wasn't particularly taken with revealing his truancy at this stage in the game. "Though I must say if this is the reward I'll have to save old stone idols more often." he teased with a too wide grin.
Gizmo Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 "Ah, flattery," Set observed, returning the confrontational look with an encouraging smirk. "You should keep doing that." Over the top edge of the half wall she could see the first of the approaching police to arrive at Hero's Knoll on foot, shouting somewhat unnecessarily for the last two conscious cultists to freeze, rooted to the spot as they were by waist-deep sand. Swinging sideways the godling dropped behind the concealment of the stacked stones and landed sideways in Ouroboros' lap, tucking her knees along the grass and pressing her side against his abdominals. "Mmh, well, tis 'god stuff'. Perform a service, receive a boon. Terribly strict rules, you understand." Keeping her voice low enough not to draw attention for the growing crowd up the hill she tapped a finger to the tip of her chin innocently. "You sounds as though mayhaps you had something in mind...?"
angrydurf Posted September 14, 2015 Author Posted September 14, 2015 "You put many thoughts in my mind." Huang replied with somewhat strained calm at the goddess depositing herself in his lap so neatly. His hand landed on her knee and he let his gaze wander for a long moment not even remotely resistant to her charms. "But I take care not to indebt myself to higher powers." he countered with some reluctance, "Lest I risk such perhaps I'll retain the boon," he suggested his voice tilting up almost as a question, "for a special occasion?" he finished with a pleased smirk. "Of course if you are in a hurry to repay I'm sure an arrangement could be made." he opined quietly, "Though personally I'd much prefer an excuse to see you again."
Gizmo Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 "Coy," Set drawled dryly, rolling her eyes as she languidly stretched out her leg, sliding Ouroboros' hand from her knee to her thigh and the edges of her shendyt. The skin beneath his palm was pleasantly warm despite the onset of fall, like sand left out in the scalding sun all day. "Not an altogether unwise policy for a practitioner, true, but I feel confident that should any future debts be incurred we could find services for you to perform that would not be so terribly arduous." She walked her fingers up the front of his shirt, pushing just firmly enough to drag the fabric incrementally upward with each movement. "Naturally if you're already too worn out by you exertions, I'd understand," she sighed theatrically, a wicked gleam in her grey eyes. "Not many have the stamina to keep up with me. You might at least introduce yourself properly, though, rude boy."
angrydurf Posted September 15, 2015 Author Posted September 15, 2015 Huang was clearly taken in by the flirting, perhaps against his better judgement, but if he had learned anything from his parents it was that when it came to romance better judgement belonged nowhere in the equation. The goddess touch light though it may have been seemed to revitalize the teen his languid posture stiffening as he let his fingers trace slow circles on her thigh as he leaned in towards her, "Well I usually go by Ouroboros to cow the superstitious masses." he offered with his sly smirk as he met her eyes once more though with some effort to pull them from the many wonders of the ancient world on display. Mere inches from her face now he elaborated, "But I go by Huang to my friends," he closed the final distance his breath soft on her cheek, full lips tantalizingly close, "So are we friends?" he asked in a whisper his youthful self control stretched thin his own desired course palpable already.
Gizmo Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 Not at all bothered by the closeness, Set shifted her posture accommodatingly and cracked a grin framed in kohl painted lips. "Referencing the snake? How delightfully phallic," she opined approvingly, using the hand not on his chest to ruffle the dhampir's hair teasingly. The fingers soon slipped around to cup his head behind the ear as she pressed him against the stones of the half-wall with her hip. Dropping her voice low she added, "And indeed, dear Huang, I expect this to be the beginning of a most beneficial friendship." Still smirking she closed the final distance and kissed him, lips hot and tingling with electricity, tongue darting past fangs."The sky overhead rumbled and the police officers who were still finishing digging the last of the cultists out of the sand and carting them off made dismayed sounds as the first drops of a warm drizzle fell from the clouds. In short order they had retreated to the shelter of their patrol cars and any park goers who had been hoping to catch a peek at the battlefield once the fighting was over with soon decided against it as the unusually refreshing shower began to fall in earnest.
angrydurf Posted September 15, 2015 Author Posted September 15, 2015 Huang leaned into the kiss eagerly the last of his self restraint well spent. One cupped the back of her head running fingers through the thick mass of dreadlocked hair to pull her into his hungry embrace while the other played along her skin and the light cotton of her garb as the rain began to fall. As the kiss broke he huskily growled, "Most beneficial indeed." as he let his wandering hand slid up the smooth curves of her side his breath hot on her cheek as he kissed along her jaw pointed fangs rasping lightly against her skin as his lips feathered along her skin before lightly nipping at her earlobe.Recognizing the danger approaching he with great reluctance pulled back before he dared continue to test his will. Already the thumping of her pulse was driving into his every sense clouding his mind. His eye glimmered a predatory red like a jackal in the moonlight before bleeding to sky blue as he held himself back, if barely. Pressing his forehead to hers, his eyes gazing deeply into her own he smiled and hushed a slow sigh, "Keep this up and we're going to end up soaking wet." he teased lightly as he lightly kissed her once more luxuriating in the feeling of her skin against his and her supple flesh under the light cotton of her shendyt.
Gizmo Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 "Mmh, a little storm never hurt a soul," Set chided in a breathless gasp, skin thrumming along with the rumbling thunder overhead everywhere it pressed against Huang. Rocking forward and craning her neck she led his lips down the length of her slender neck with an appreciative little sound, the course mapped out by trailing droplets. "Well. That may not be strictly th-- oh!" The godling pulled back just far enough to clap her hands in realization, bouncing slightly in the dhampir's lap. "Referencing the snake!"Reaching into the dip of her cross halter she plucked out a rectangle of glossy black card stock embossed with a rich gold and green design of a serpent curving around to bite its own tail. "Tis one of yours, aye?" she asked with a wide grin, delighted by the coincidence as only a goddess of chaos could be. "Look at you, networking!" The throaty growl in her annunciation of the last word sounded as kindled as she'd been toward his handy banishment of the lower being. She slid her free hand under his damp shirt where rainwater had already soaked through to tight muscles beneath it. "Truly, I'd have used the number immediately had I known what was awaiting my call..."
