Paradigm was unable to do anything to stop the Spectrum Knight in blue armor from turning his attention to Cavalier and blasting the Star Knight across the hanger.  Thankfully Cavalier did not appear too injured by the attack, but the Naram paragon was not about to let the murder escape so easily.

"Keep on the others."  She called out to the other Praetorians and remaining Star Knights, before she took to the air in pursuit of the fleeing form.

Paradigm found that in order to pursue the fleeing Bie Yie, she had push her fight harder than normal.  But she was able to catch up with the Spectrum Knight out over the waters below.

"You will not escape that easily criminal!"  She stated as he closed with Bie Yie, delivering another powerful blow that could dent the hull of star cruisers.  This time, the glowing armor surrounding Bie Yie completely shielded him from the attack.

Sitara had been monitoring the situation with her fellow Praetorians and Star Knights the best she could whist avoiding the Spectrum Knight.

“Just say the word and I can be there in a minute or two. Things are more or less under control her.”

It frustrated her a little that she was stuck her with the lesser warriors whilst they faced the actual leader, but she respected Amara to much to just abandon her task to fly off just to get a good scrap.

Paradigm wound up having to beat Bie Yie bloody to finally force him to surrender, his armor cracked and sparking bizarre energies that didn't look anything like Star Knight energies to her eyes. Even now it wasn't so much that he's surrendered as he'd been beaten into unconsciousness, eerily silent now that they were out on the ocean and away from his fellow Knights. When she returned, she found that the Spectrum Knight facility had been locked down by her fellow Praetorians and their Star Knight ally. The prisoners, held in an emergency stockade in the middle of what had once been their parade ground, were a sullen lot, made up of the most despised species in Lor space, glaring sullenly out at the heroes who had defeated their plot. There were families in the stockade too, mates and children, weeping at the horror they'd all survived. Only one tower, gleaming a brilliant salmon, still towered above the shattered remains of the complex - all of it destroyed by the orbital bombardment that Cavalier had been investigating.

Cavalier and Traveler, meanwhile, had finally managed to get through to Mentor and track their location - they were over the edge of Lor space into what had formerly been Khanate territory, a wild, contested region that the Republic had officially promised to keep its troops out of. That didn't apply to the Star Knights of course, but it did mean things could get tricky if any number of regional warlords found out they were there. Of course, said warlord would have to explain what a Spectrum Knight base was doing in their territory in the first place. The Lor commander Traveler managed to reach promised to send word directly to the Grand Nauarchus herself - proof of just how seriously the Republic took this incident.

Paradigm had taken no pleasure in having to subdue the Spectrum Knight leader in such a manner, but he had continued to refuse to surrender and fight.  While the one that had kicked Star Knight Glort toward Bie Yie had escaped, they had captured the one who had delivered the killing blow.

The Praetorian Imperatrix was pleased to see that the others had been able to detain many of the other Spectrum Knights while she had been out over the waters of the nearby ocean.  The sight of the terrified families saddened her.  Hopefully once they were back in Lor space, the families could be provided some sort of sanctuary to recover from their ordeal.

Landing next to Traveller and Cavalier, Paradigm lowered the unconscious Bie Yie to the ground.  "I am sorry for the loss of your fellow Space Knight.  This is the one that delivered the killing stroke, but I am afraid the one that knocked Knight Glort off balance managed to escape."

Cavalier looked down at Bie Yie. It would be easy, wouldn't it? So very easy. Just a thought, and the blaster would be back in his hand. Another thought, and the knocked-out bastard wouldn't be waking up ever again. It was so easy... too easy. For him, and for Bie Yie. The last thing he wanted to do at this point, and in this place, was to make him a martyr to whatever cause he claimed to serve. He looped into his comms unit, glad that the quantum entanglement with Mentor's central hub was working once again. "Mentor, I am going to try to get some technical specs to you on the altered armor," he said. "I'm going to be delicate in case this thing has an anti-tamper self-destruct measure. If we get a lock on the signature, can we teleport it back to Citadel for investigation? Place it in a heavily-secured cell, one that can withstand a blast if it is booby-trapped... and ideally, without the wearer."

He looked to Glort's body. With whatever had interfered with the recall feature possibly still up on the planet, he wasn't sure if what he was proposing might even be possible - but he had to try. At the very least, the armor deserved to be returned.

“This whole region was a mess even before the trouble with the Communion, now it’s even worse. It’s going to be difficult to find anyone hiding out in the region.”

As Sitara spoke she was pointing out details from a hologram projected from her arm, finally finished she shut down the hologram storing the data for later. She looked down at the dead Star Knight, Glort she thought his name was, she hadn’t know him very well but all the loses counted. And in her time Sitara had amassed a very long list of name.

“If you’re going to try and bring his killers to justice I’d like to be there to help.”
