Thevshi Posted March 30, 2016 Author Posted March 30, 2016 Okay, a couple of tough pirates are going to pick up something heavy and throw it at Moon-Moth, both hitting with 22 and 21, so two DC 25 toughness saves for Moon-Moth. The pirate capital ship is taking evasive maneuvers and its weapons are ionized at the moment, so Mater is up Vahn!
Vahnyu Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 (edited) Mater Vyrdna Free Action: 1 HP to combat fatigue! Standard Action: Attack roll with the Kavacca (-1 mod), boosted, Power Attack +2/-2: 1d20+1 19 DC35 Toughness save for the big bad pirate capital ship. EDIT: I forgot that I am not using Accurate Attack. Nvm Edited March 30, 2016 by Vahnyu
Thevshi Posted March 30, 2016 Author Posted March 30, 2016 Well, it makes a 29, so takes more damage and is "dazed", which I will remove (HP to Vahn). Cav is up!
Exaccus Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Toughness save vs rock 1 1d20+15=26 And Toughness save vs rock 2 1d20+15=34
trollthumper Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Cavalier decides to follow up on Mater Vrynda's assault by opening fire on the main ship. He rolls a 17.
Thevshi Posted March 31, 2016 Author Posted March 31, 2016 The capital ship gets a 21 on its toughness save, but I will reroll (HP to Cav) and it gets a 27, so it takes more damage.
Thevshi Posted April 1, 2016 Author Posted April 1, 2016 Okay, five pirates open fire on Moon-Moth with their blaster pistols, 19, 8, 6, 24, 13, so two hits and the rest missed. Two DC 20 toughness saves for Moon-Moth. Round Eight28 Shell (bruised)20 Pirate Pilots (1 in space)20 Moon-Moth (unharmed, 3 HP)12 Pirate gunners8 Tough pirates (4 on planet)7 Mater Vyrdna (unharmed, 1 HP)5 Cavalier (bruised 2, 2 HP)5 Pirates (many on planet) Shell moves over and climbs up onto the rock near Moon-Moth. The remaining pirate interceptor will attack Cav again, missing with a 15. Moon-Moth is up! (assuming he makes his toughness saves and/or does not need to spend a HP to recover any daze).
Exaccus Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Save the first! 1d20+15=30 And Save the second, 1d20+15=24 Moon-moth will manuver to the optimal firing angle and then stunt Damage 10("Silver shard storm"; Magic; Extras: Area (Cone, Targeted), Autofire PFs: Accurate 2 (+4)) Progression, increase area 6 (x 500; 50,000ft Cone) Precise, Incurable 1d20+10=15 Not great but OK for now. And make contact with the praetorians in orbit to let them know how things are going. Diplomacy by other means begins!
Thevshi Posted April 3, 2016 Author Posted April 3, 2016 Okay, you are likely only going to want to use a rank or two of progression (to avoid blasting stuff almost 10 miles out!). That just hits the normal pirates, but actually misses the larger ones that threw the rocks at you. The 10 regular pirates you catch in the blast all miss their toughness saves and are out.
Thevshi Posted April 10, 2016 Author Posted April 10, 2016 Okay, four pirate gunners open fire on the Kavaca, all missing A tough pirate climbs up to where Shell is and attacks her, missing with a 11 Another tough pirate throws another rock at Moon-moth, just missing with a 14 Mater is up Vahn!
Vahnyu Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Mater Vyrdna Free Action: Surge to gain an additional Standard Action Standard Action: Attack roll with the Kavacca (-1 mod), boosted, Power Attack +2/-2: 1d20+1 14 DC35 Toughness Save. Standard Action 2: Attack roll with the Kavacca (-1 mod), boosted, Power Attack +2/-2: 1d20+1 21 DC40 Toughness Save Yay for criticals!
Thevshi Posted April 10, 2016 Author Posted April 10, 2016 The ship gets a 30 on the first save, and a 28 on the second. So the ship is heavily damage and disabled.
trollthumper Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Cavalier decides to turn his attention to another of the pirate runners. That's a 30, so... DC26 TOU + Autofire.
Thevshi Posted April 12, 2016 Author Posted April 12, 2016 Okay, that will disable to the last interceptor, which means that all the threats in space have been more or less neutralized. Of course, there are all the pirates aboard the capital ship, but remains to be seen if they are still willing to be belligerent. The pirates on the ground continue to fight for the moment, a number shooting at Moon-Moth 16, 9, 24 and 16, so one hit, DC 20 toughness save for him. Round Nine28 Shell (bruised)20 Moon-Moth (unharmed, 3 HP)8 Tough pirates (4 on planet)7 Mater Vyrdna (unharmed, 1 HP)5 Cavalier (bruised 2, 2 HP) 5 Pirates (many on planet)Shell will attack the tough pirate that came at her, hitting with a 21. The pirate gets a 17 on its toughness save, so is bruised and dazed.
Exaccus Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Well then it is time for moths revenge! We shall snare him! 1d20+10=15 maybe not! Moon-moth will then flutter down to the ground and gesture for him to come and have a go if he thinks he's moth enough.
Thevshi Posted April 12, 2016 Author Posted April 12, 2016 He completely fails his reflex save and is bound and helpless.
Thevshi Posted April 13, 2016 Author Posted April 13, 2016 Okay, one of the tough pirates continues trying to hit Moon-Moth with rocks, missing. The other two are working to try to clear a path through the barrier Moon-Moth created.Mater is up Vahn!
Vahnyu Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Mater Vyrdna Free Action: Spend an HP to cure Surge Fatigue. Move Action: Communicate with Cavalier. Free Action: Delay rest of Action until after Cavalier
Thevshi Posted April 14, 2016 Author Posted April 14, 2016 Okay, some more pirates keep shooting at Moon-Moth, and get: 9, 9, 12, 23, so one hit (DC 20 Toughness save). Four also shoot at Shell, 17, 9, 24, 9, one hit there as well. Shell gets a 16, so another bruise. Some of the other mercenaries counter attack, taking down some pirates and drawing others attention. Round Ten28 Shell (bruised 2)20 Moon-Moth (unharmed, 3 HP)8 Tough pirates (4 on planet, one bruised 2)7 Mater Vyrdna (unharmed, 0 HP)5 Cavalier (bruised 2, 2 HP)5 Pirates (many on planet) Shell drops down to deal with the tough pirate she already hurt, scoring a critical hit. The pirate gets a 26 on his toughness, so is only bruised again. Moon-Moth is up!
Vahnyu Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 (edited) After discussion in the chat Pilot Roll: 1d20+7 23 Using this to move within boarding range of the ship, with Mater Vyrdna's delayed action from the previous turn, Edited April 14, 2016 by Vahnyu
Exaccus Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Moon moth will create a wall of moonsilver construct and having it selectively phase through himself and she'll shunt it towards the pirate masses
