Brown Dynamite
Riley is able to make out the sight of someone standing on top of the Good Loving hotel. He's holding a pair of binoculars and the burnt cigarette butts on the ground imply he's been there for a while. Aside from the creepy people watching he doesn't seem to be doing anything threatening at the moment. Link to comment
Avenger Assembled
Riley shoots the guy running away! +2 Power Attack http://orokos.com/roll/344026 = 26! If that hits, with any or all ranged penalties - That's a DC 23 Tou save vs. non-lethal concussive damage. Link to comment
Brown Dynamite
Let's see. That still hits even with the distance penalties. Tou Save: 1d20+12 13 Link to comment
Avenger Assembled
Okay! This is an explosive arrow in the back. Link to comment
Brown Dynamite
And Riley gets an HP for two reasons. A. The guy's keeping the Staggered. But, I forgo'd the Daze so he could keep running (well limping quickly since he can only take one move action). B. The sight of a guy being shot by an explosive arrow while running away doesn't exactly lead to the people nearby thinking the Woodsman is the hero here! Link to comment
Avenger Assembled
Riley shoots him again! This time with a full-on Power Attack. http://orokos.com/roll/344642 = 21 That's a DC 26 Tou save if it hits. Link to comment
Brown Dynamite
Tou Save: 1d20+12 14 He is out! A crowd of people move to get in Riley's way. Blocking his view off the guy right after seeing him drop to the ground in the middle of the street. Link to comment
Brown Dynamite
Alright so good time to ask. If Riley wants to comb around the crime scene give me a Search roll and I'll let you know what he finds. If he wants to examine the body himself give me a DC10 Medicine Roll. He can also wait for the police to arrive and get info off them as well. I suppose he could use the guy's chem set to create simple explosives....but that would seem rather pointless! Regardless of what he does, his skill in tracking allows him to tell both men were siting on the couch before the altercation. Link to comment
Avenger Assembled
Search: Medicine: 25 - boom, critical success! Riley is master detective. Search: If I have time to take 10 or 20 on the Search check, I'll do so - yielding either 20 or 30. If I can't, I'll stick with my base roll - which unfortunately was sixteen. Link to comment
Brown Dynamite
He does have time to take 20. But, that'd be long enough for the police to arrive! Luckily his has a lady there to confirm he did not do a murder. Link to comment
Avenger Assembled
Riley will take 20! He's not afraid of the police - though maybe he ought to be. What does he seeee Link to comment
Brown Dynamite
Medicine: The lack of bridging in the wound suggests that the x shaped cuts were merely incisions. It was the the large gaping stab wound that did the poor guy in. He has defense wound on his hands showing which would imply he tried to fight his assailant. But, it's clear that the man was killed in a single swift movement, indicating his attacker had a modicum of training. Implying he tried to cover up his tracks, before being scared off by something. Search: Riley finds a cellphone hidden in the couch cushion with plenty of recent outgoing calls. But, only a single incoming call from a number outside of the owner's contact list (a call he got within the past hour). He finds a matchbox with the emblem for Orphis Shipping. Which matches employee the id found in the man's wallet identifying him as Kenneth James Anderson. 21 years young. Riley also finds a student id indicating the victim was a student at FCU. Avenger Assembled
Woodsman is going to try Sense Motive. 26 Link to comment
Brown Dynamite
Alrighty, that was basically for the Evaluate use of Sense Motive. Woodsman is able to suss out that the guards that run up, have absolutely no idea what he's talking about. And are a little freaked about the guy pointing a weapon at them. All except for the guard standing all the way in the back. That dude's shady. Link to comment
