Barnum Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 OOC thread for the thread VM and Affliction. I picked here because . . . well, because neither of you said you cared where, and this forum has no posts in it. *is really simple-minded* Do you want to start, Dil, VM, or should I?
Veiled Malice Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 I guess here's as good as any. I'll take a look at my Freedom City book a little later on to give Maggot a better excuse to pop in here.
Affliction Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 i'm working on a plan now. when barny gets home from school, she's gonna get things started for me.
Veiled Malice Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 Well, it seems that this place isn't the biggest baddy pull in FC, but it'll have to do. There's not much here except residential housing and shopping malls. Real upper-middle income stuff. :)
Barnum Posted May 17, 2008 Author Posted May 17, 2008 That's perfect! I'll post here today. *promises*
Barnum Posted May 18, 2008 Author Posted May 18, 2008 Alrighty, the first post is up. The scene: a playground somewhere in the 'burbs. The cast: two miscreant teenagers who are about to be up to no good. Your next posts: whatever you want, but probably getting yourselves on the way to the playground would make some sense. If you could, stay off the playground until the mischief is made manifest. (sounds like a Harry Potter spell . . . 'Mischief Manifest!')
Veiled Malice Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 Do you want to post first, or should I? I'm just wondering how you want to start this out. Well, other than the start Barnum was so nice to have given us. :)
Barnum Posted May 18, 2008 Author Posted May 18, 2008 You can go ahead and post enough to tell how you got to the neighborhood. I should be able to finish up the preliminaries enough to cue Maggot's grand entrance in my next post. What I was thinking: -Barnum sets the scene -Affliction and VM post to get them into the neighborhood -Barnum finishes the scene -Maggot terrorizes the playground (for a post or two) -VM to the rescue
Veiled Malice Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 Gotcha. Although it'll be less "to the resuce" than "bumbling around and getting smacked about by someone three full PLs above him." :)
Barnum Posted May 20, 2008 Author Posted May 20, 2008 I think Maggot is intentionally scaled back to (mostly) PL 8, so it should be pretty good.
Barnum Posted May 22, 2008 Author Posted May 22, 2008 Sorry for not posting yesterday. Feeling a little under the weather. I'm going to let Affliction post an action too before I update, since you both will go before the boys in the initiative order.
Affliction Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 i don't know if the bugs will hurt metal boy or not. i'll leave that up to you guys.
Barnum Posted May 24, 2008 Author Posted May 24, 2008 Please roll for initiative. The boys will be going last no matter what.
Veiled Malice Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 That's a 12 for Mashin-kun. A very average roll.
Barnum Posted May 24, 2008 Author Posted May 24, 2008 You're up, Dil. If you want to do something other than torment the boys with wasps, post away.
Affliction Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 since maggot doesn't know much of anything, it is going to pick a random boy and use suffocate on him. 1 - vm 2 - picked on boy 3 - bulley 4 - fat kid which boy (1d4=2) scrawny kid it is. evolution wins again
Barnum Posted May 26, 2008 Author Posted May 26, 2008 Eeeeeeew . . . Fort Save, Con Save (1d20-1=4, 1d20-1=13) Failed and failed. He is unconscious. Will be dying next round, and dead the round after.
Veiled Malice Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 Yeah, seriously. Daisuke made an attack, but I think he missed. Unless, of course, she's somehow flat-footed, which I doubt.
Barnum Posted May 27, 2008 Author Posted May 27, 2008 Yep, that's a miss. Round 2. Affliction, you're up. You can RP VM's "miss" however you like.
Affliction Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 using strike attack (1d20 10=12) looks like a swing and a miss
Veiled Malice Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Okay, Daisuke's making for the nearest fire hydrant, however far away that is. He's also in a defensive posture, so that's a +2 to his Defense.
