Thevshi Posted January 19, 2018 Author Posted January 19, 2018 GM The Praetorian that had spoken to Bliss side stepped as well, staying in front of her. "Well that is the thing, it is not our authority that is of import. The moment you set foot on this station you fell within the authority of the Coalition, and the Coalition has provided us the authority to enforce its laws." He stated, frowning slightly as he seemed to tense. "Easy Pulsar." Stated Magnetar, looking at Bliss and then over at Roulette. "Unless I am mistaken, these are the Voidrunners. They played their parts against the Communion, so we can afford to give them the benefit of the doubt for the moment and at least ask for their cooperation as we work to determine what happened." Pulsar hesitated a moment and the relaxed ever so slightly as he stepped back from Bliss. Looking around he scowled. "What I want to know is why the security drones have not responded." "Technicians are investigating that Praetorian." Stated a station peacekeeper that had moved nearby. "There appears to have been some sort of tampering, but they have not yet determined how it was done."
TheAbsurdist Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 "Do you people do scans or the identifications, or you do just focus on being inept, arrogant, and fascist?" Her expression was dull, her tone as flat and raspy as ever."Played our parts against the Communion?" One could could the click go off in the Xuli'pan, as she started to screech in her native tongue. Then she cut it short, closed her mouth tightly, closing both sets of eye-lids and breathed in sharply enough that her nostrils flared, before she turned from them. "Gods below. May the fires take them." She shook her head, "Everyone's part was to run away! To flee. It was no one's part to face that. I don't recall seeing either of you out there. So stuff it, shut up, and be thankful some of us did more than was required, and back off of your cultish insanity." She stepped away, toward Roulette, in case she needed to scoop him up and get the hell out of there. Her eyes going to Ruby. "They probably bribed the constables. It's what you do if you want to do a grab."
olopi Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 Barrier knelt down next to Ruby, doing a quick check of how injured she was. There were two purposes to doing it. The first was that yes, she had just been shot, and that care would probably be required. The second was that it gave Barrier the chance to be close by the team, Voidrunners apparently, ‘s third member, who she assumed they would not just leave behind. And while she trusted them a bit more now that she knew about their role in the Incursion, she still was wary. One of them did make a good point, though. “That would make sense. Considering where they went, I’m getting the suspicion you weren’t their main target. “ She stopped for a second, as her mind sprung to the likely conclusion. “This is the distraction.” Immediately, her shield began to glow once more, and she started to hover, ready to support the vehicles that had moved to pursue the attackers.
Thevshi Posted January 21, 2018 Author Posted January 21, 2018 GM "Perhaps if you had spent less time fleeing and more trying to help others you might have seen us." Pulsar responded to Bliss, his eyes flaring dangerously with power. "Pulsar!" Magnetar stated once more, stepping slightly in the other Praetorian's way. Pulsar let the energy building up dissipate before turning away in disgust. Magnetar then looked back at Bliss as he added, "we Praetorians were spread along the entire front against the Communion. We all fought in plenty of battles, during the Incursion AND two thousand years ago when we first faced the Communion. But none of that is important right now." At both Bliss and Barrier's comments regarding the objectives of the mercenaries that had fled, Magnater turned back to the large Praetorian as she lifted up into the air. The vehicle the mercenaries had fled in, along with the Peacekeeper vehicles that had pursued it were long out of sight. "If this was just a distraction, wouldn’t pursuing them just continue to serve that goal?" Magnetar asked. "The more important question is what is this to distract from?"
