Supercape Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 OOC for this For record: Presto: 2 HP, unharmed Presto can be assumed to know about Occult Times magazine. He can also make a straight INT roll (DC 20) to see if he recalls Wesley.
Sophistemon Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 Intelligence Check: 1d20+3 11. Ah, excellent. My bad luck's still intact. I don't suppose that roll teaches me anything?
Supercape Posted July 3, 2016 Author Posted July 3, 2016 No. You may, if you wish, recognise the name as a reporter from Occult Times, but know nothing particularly about him.
Sophistemon Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 A perfectly average response to a perfectly average roll; that makes sense to me.
Sophistemon Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 I'm afraid that Presto doesn't have any 'Subtle' spells to cast; flashiness is his nature.
Supercape Posted July 10, 2016 Author Posted July 10, 2016 (edited) Depending on your actions, feel free to roll things like Stealth, Bluff, Intimidate etc! Or, if just trying to command attention, a straight CHA roll! (DC 10) EDIT: Or even a perform stage magic roll! Edited July 10, 2016 by Supercape
Sophistemon Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Stage Magic has the highest bonus, so here's a roll just in case: Perform: Stage Magic Check: 1d20+13 24. Are the guards aware yet that Presto's in the area?
Supercape Posted July 10, 2016 Author Posted July 10, 2016 No, they cant see him yet. Basiclly they are just looking at the "blast site" of the lightning. Of course, without further distraction, they wont be distracted! So its all up to you
Sophistemon Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 In this case, the Stage Magic check was to see how well the doves perform their duty after having been trained as magician's tools. Please let me know if that's acceptable.
Supercape Posted July 10, 2016 Author Posted July 10, 2016 Yeah I think that works for me! (to be honest, if it works for the player, it works for me!) Besides which, Perform (Stage Magician) rolls - well, this may well be your only such roll on this site, so lets use it!
Sophistemon Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 I've actually already used it to persuade a shopkeeper to help me, although that trick was somewhat more advanced, as I rolled higher.
Supercape Posted August 5, 2016 Author Posted August 5, 2016 (edited) So you can take the Count down easily (he is light). Wesley too, if you are so inclined, although he is significantly heavier. For reference, it will be dim light down the hole. -5 to all notice and perception checks. You may wish to make an Earth Sciences Knowledge Roll, and a History Knowledge Roll.DC 20 for each (trained only), but as Presto has Eidetic Memory, you can still try! Edited August 5, 2016 by Supercape
Sophistemon Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 As you wish. Knowledge: Earth Science: 1d20+3 18. Knowledge: History: 1d20+3 23. Hey, would you look at that!
Supercape Posted August 10, 2016 Author Posted August 10, 2016 Good stuff! Presto judges the cave as being borderline unstable. There is a risk of collapse with loud noises, violent impact, etc. There is also some stuff down in the cave that I will describe in historical detail given your excellent history roll! Post your descent and I shall take it from there. May want a notice roll for prosperity too! (and an Arcane Knowledge Roll!)
Sophistemon Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 Ah, excellent. I'll edit my post here shortly.
Supercape Posted August 11, 2016 Author Posted August 11, 2016 Went ahead and posted, hope its ok for you!
Sophistemon Posted August 13, 2016 Posted August 13, 2016 It's great, Supercape, thank you. Expect a reply shortly.
Supercape Posted August 13, 2016 Author Posted August 13, 2016 Not quite in combat yet, but if you intend to go for it, roll initiative!
Sophistemon Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 Initiative Check: 1d20+3 4. Well, that's a disappointing roll, but it makes sense if Presto's got to set the Count down before he can fight.
Supercape Posted August 22, 2016 Author Posted August 22, 2016 Initiative: 1d20-1 19 for the cave guardians, but lets hold off a moment for drama and talk!
