Master_Pelle Posted June 13, 2008 Author Posted June 13, 2008 Ok, I´m aware about that Eidetic Memory only use for knowledge skills and remembering something. Ok, here is the rolls but I will not be surprised I fail the checks... Investigation (1d20 2=11) Medicine check (1d20 2=13)
Heritage Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 Added the two rolls to my post; need to put some ranks in Intimidate next month :D
Dr Archeville Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 Shadowboxer, please make a Sense Motive check for Nightrival. Once I get that, I can post the next rounds worth of (re)actions.
Shadowboxer Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Shadowboxer, please make a Sense Motive check for Nightrival. Sure thing. I rolled a 30. Not too shabby.
Dr Archeville Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 You rolled a 30 on a 20-sided die? Who do you think you are, Steve Kenson? ;)
Dr Archeville Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 End of Round Recap Players Grimalkin -- 1 Bruise, Stunned -- 1 HP ManBat -- Full Health -- 1 HP Nightrival -- Full Health -- 3 HP Reflexion -- 1 Bruise, Shaken (by ManBat) -- 1 HP Initiative Orders 29 -- Hispanic Woman 28 -- Nightrival 26 -- Asian Woman 22 -- Reflexion 21 -- Slick Willie (Down. Unconscious? Dead?) 21 – Heavy (Bruised) 20 -- "Twitchy Pete" 19 -- Druggies (6; 1 down; 5 up, all Shaken, 4 Fleeing, 1 Panicked) 17 -- Grimalkin 15 -- Manbat
Heritage Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 And the kid takes another hit; "C'mon Rock, ya gotta get back up in there!" :)
Dr Archeville Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 That fails by more than 5 (but not 10 or more), so Grim is Stunned & Bruised. "Eye of th' tiger, champ, eye of th' tiger!"
Shadowboxer Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 You rolled a 30 on a 20-sided die? Who do you think you are, Steve Kenson? That's how I roll. ;)
Master_Pelle Posted June 17, 2008 Author Posted June 17, 2008 Man... I must be quit unlucky with the dices... Toughness check (1d20 7=14) Will check (1d20 5=14)
Dr Archeville Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Ouch indeed: you suffer on Bruise from the hit (since you failed the Toughness save, though not by 5+), and you're a-feared of Manbat (failed the Fearsome Presence save, but not by 5+). Specifically, Reflexion is shaken, taking a-2 penalty on attack rolls, saving throws, and checks. I'll have to figure out how long this effect lasts. EDIT: Seems that Kenson has ruled that Fearsome Presence is treated as a Sustained lasting effect (similar to Emotion Control). You'll get to save again next round, but if that fails you won't get another chance to save for 5 rounds, then 10 rounds/1 minute, then 5 minutes, and so on.
pookaking Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 You have to forgive ManBat. He isn't used to working with others.
Master_Pelle Posted June 19, 2008 Author Posted June 19, 2008 If you wondering why Reflexion suddenly attack Manbat is because that Manbat just scared him and also he don´t know that he is not a villain. I hope that you don´t take it personality.
Dr Archeville Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 End of Round Recap Players Grimalkin -- 1 Bruise, Stunned (Toughness save, DC 19) -- 1 HP ManBat -- Full Health -- 1 HP Nightrival -- Full Health -- 3 HP Reflexion -- 1 Bruise, 1 Staggered, Shaken (by ManBat), Stunned (1 round) -- 1 HP Initiative Orders 29 -- Hispanic Woman (intimidated by Nighrival) 28 -- Nightrival 26 -- Asian Woman 22 -- Reflexion 21 -- Slick Willie (Down. Unconscious? Dead?) 21 – Heavy (Bruised) 20 -- "Twitchy Pete" 19 -- Druggies (6; 1 down; 5 up, all Shaken, 4 Fleeing, 1 Panicked) 17 -- Grimalkin 15 – Manbat
pookaking Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 Toughness save against DC19, includes Defensive Roll (1d20+8=20) As for ManBat's attack on the junky. I threw a normal punch followed by a grapple (using Improved Grab); of course at the time I thought she was staying inside and not running away like the others. Since she is outside, I'll just settle for the punch. Nothing like punching a girl in the back of the head as she is running away...some hero I am!
Master_Pelle Posted June 22, 2008 Author Posted June 22, 2008 Will save (Shaked -2, Bruised -1) (1d20 2=9) I real got a awful roll there... By the way, do he recognized her? Because he have worked with other Labyrinth agents before.
Dr Archeville Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 That is bad, as it fails by more than 10 (but less than 15). Reflexion is Staggered (can take only a move or standard action each round) and Stunned (lose Dodge bonus to AC, and an additional -2 to Defense, and can take no actions). The Stun lasts for one round, but the Staggered lasts for at least an hour (barring some outside help). Which Labyrinth folks has he dealt with? Actual named folks from the FC setting book, or just rank-and-file types? Pookaking, ManBat's uninjured (though the hit did smart), but you do need to make a Grapple check vs. the druggie. She rolled fairly well. Shadowboxer, Nightrival can see that Heavy is blundering around, apparently totally blind and, based on his shouts, deaf as well.
pookaking Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 Since the setting is different than I thought (outside now, rather than inside) ManBat doesn't grapple. He just threw the punch. Only if she were inside still threatening Reflexation was ManBat going to grapple, since that is not the case....
Shadowboxer Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 I hope NR hasn't used his entire 30 feet before the Move-by Action comes into play. I can edit or delete the post.
Dr Archeville Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Nah, Nightriva'ls used maybe 15 feet so far. The bedroom's not that huge.
Master_Pelle Posted June 24, 2008 Author Posted June 24, 2008 Which Labyrinth folks has he dealt with? Actual named folks from the FC setting book, or just rank-and-file types? If you have read my character´s background, he has worked with Payback, Sidetrack and Targette in some mission while he was brainwashed.
Dr Archeville Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Hunh, weird, I had read it and didn't recall any agents actually being named. Anyways, it's Targette who's just mind-whammied Reflexion. He can tell not just by her appearance, but also by the feel of her powers as it slammed into him.
Heritage Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Okay, my original roll was the uber-suck, so I will spend my HP for a reroll, and pray for something better - and it pays off! :D
Dr Archeville Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 End of Round Recap Players Grimalkin -- 1 Bruise -- 0 HP ManBat -- Full Health -- 1 HP Nightrival -- Full Health -- 3 HP Reflexion -- 1 Bruise, 1 Staggered, Shaken (by ManBat) (DC 20 Will save vs. Mental Blast) -- 1 HP Initiative Orders 29 -- Hispanic Woman (intimidated by Nighrival; in living room w/ Reflexion) 28 -- Nightrival (in bedroom) 26 -- Asian Woman (???) 22 -- Reflexion (down in living room) 21 -- Slick Willie (Unconscious? Dead? in bedroom) 21 – Heavy (Bruised, Blind & Deaf [effective initiative 17]; in bedroom) 20 -- "Twitchy Pete" (now in living room w/ Reflexion) 19 -- Druggies (6; 1 down; 5 up; 3 Shaken = 2 Fleeing, 1 Panicked) 17 -- Grimalkin (in kitchen) 15 – Manbat (outside)
Shadowboxer Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Is Heavy in the same size category as Nightrival? If so, I would like to use his Improved Grab feat if his hit was successful.
