R. Bluefish Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 OOC for this. Let me know if you need a reason for Casey to be at the scene, and feel free to have her be currently in-costume or out of it!
Heritage Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 Missed this OOC somehow; ummm...let's start with her out of costume. Technically it's a school day (i *think* Claremont is already back in school?), but let's say it's one of those half days you often get early in the year. Regardless, what if Casey decided to join the tour group? She's still new in town, and i can see her doing it.
R. Bluefish Posted August 30, 2016 Author Posted August 30, 2016 Heh, responded to your message before I saw this, so we're staring out great on the communication front. That's fine by me, and it makes sense that she would be interested in touring the city. It's also a nice smooth way to introduce her to the thread.
R. Bluefish Posted September 1, 2016 Author Posted September 1, 2016 Feel free to have Casey catch the container automatically - it's big enough that no roll is required to intercept it, and with her Strength she can juuuust manage to carry it.
Heritage Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 So I'm not 100% sure tour bus guides use radio to make their announcements, but i figure it's within the realm of superhero science
R. Bluefish Posted September 11, 2016 Author Posted September 11, 2016 Neither am I, and it's a cool trick, so s'all good.
R. Bluefish Posted September 16, 2016 Author Posted September 16, 2016 May be moving things along rather abruptly there - let me know if you want me to roll anything back, or allow Casey a chance to take additional actions!
Heritage Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 No, it's cool. Edited this last post a bit, but it's good to go now.
R. Bluefish Posted September 19, 2016 Author Posted September 19, 2016 There's a post for ya - sorry for the delay. And rest assured that Casey isn't stupid!
R. Bluefish Posted September 24, 2016 Author Posted September 24, 2016 I'd call that a DC 15 Craft (structural) check - which she can of course take 10 on if she wants.
Heritage Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 Considering the situation, it feels like a time to take the risks of a roll. 1d20+5=19 With thank God paid off!
Heritage Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 (edited) Okay, that's the crate built! For the sake of sanity, gonna break this into sections; in the next post, we'll fly the crate over to the barge, add the dirt, and then...move the container (gasp!) Let me know if that will involve any rolls. Edit: for the record, based on my calculations, Casey essentially did the work of five men working three eight-hour days in just over a minute Edited September 27, 2016 by Heritage
Heritage Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 I don't think I made it clear in my last post, but even though it's full of dirt, the crate has no top, which Casey hopes will divert any explosion up and away from anyone close by.
R. Bluefish Posted October 7, 2016 Author Posted October 7, 2016 Oh, and by the way, you can feel free to just have Casey automatically pick the guy up and carry him over if you want. No need for rolls or complications - essentially just a ceremonial wrapping-up moment for the scene.
R. Bluefish Posted October 17, 2016 Author Posted October 17, 2016 Yeah, sorry - dropped the ball there, trying to get caught back up.
Heritage Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Sorry that last one was A little short , but I couldn't think of much more to say.
R. Bluefish Posted November 7, 2016 Author Posted November 7, 2016 We can do a scene transition right here, unless you have questions for Kapoor?
Heritage Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Not sure what rolls to make, but this is how Casey plans a 'job'; ironically, it's not very different from how a Girl Scout plans a major community improvement project. Yes, I find it hilarious to use her Scout training as justification for A-Team-type montages, but a Girl Scout Ambassador does know her s###
Heritage Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 Oh jeez, I just realized I might have messed you up with that last post; if i need to change it or even scrap it, let me know.
R. Bluefish Posted December 6, 2016 Author Posted December 6, 2016 All right - let's get this sucker going again! Again, I'm really sorry about leaving this fallow for so long. I'm crap at keeping as schedule, and then The Unfortunate Event happened and put me out of commission for longer than was probably acceptable. I got no problem with the post - just give me a Gather Information check and we'll be off again.
Heritage Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Uh...Casey doesn't actually HAVE Gather Info yet; definitely something to invest in as part of my next character edit. Anything else I can do? Take 20 on some sort of Unskilled check?
Heritage Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Untrained Gather Info check: 1d20+2=20 24 is Attractive counts, but that's not enough to hit the next DC bracket.
Heritage Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Forgive me for throwing you a curveball here, but it just occured to me that Casey is smart enough to know when she's out of her depth, though she's still determined to pull this heist. Would Echo's name come up on a list of sneaky heroes?
