Brown Dynamite Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 OOC this thread in which Kit and Blue Jay's date night takes a magical turn. @Blue Roseand @Raveled
Raveled Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 So can we start in here, or should we hold off?
Blue Rose Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Also, what kind of restaurant is this? Not sure if it's an established thing in-setting.
Raveled Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Madden's is in-universe. Quote A chain of franchised restaurants, Madden’s serves American-style food in a cozy atmosphere. Madden’s is popular with middle-class families, and they always have a great selection of ice cream and desserts. So they're at Denny's.
Brown Dynamite Posted September 24, 2016 Author Posted September 24, 2016 Minus the fact, that only someone on a hangover would eat at Denny's. And yes start away.
Blue Rose Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 (edited) Perception to try and pick out the boss of this operation. Notice: 1d20+5 8 DC 16 illusion whatever agent Sam decided was in charge can see and here. Mental effect. Edited September 25, 2016 by Blue Rose
Brown Dynamite Posted September 29, 2016 Author Posted September 29, 2016 The Notice fails to single out a leader. But, since they have no reason to suspect anything, no one's rolling against the illusion yet!
Blue Rose Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 Well, then, I guess I just freaked out a random government goon instead of the boss. Oops.
Blue Rose Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Dunno what, if any knowledge skill would apply to the Gerber house. Knowledge: 1d20 17 So, 20 if it's Arcane Lore, Current Events, History, Popular Culture, Streetwise, or Theology and Philosophy. 22 if it's Art.
Raveled Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Know/Life Sciences Results 1d20+5: 17 [1d20=12] She's a doer, not a thinker.
Brown Dynamite Posted October 3, 2016 Author Posted October 3, 2016 Arcane Lore will work. Arcane Lore DC15 Spoiler Resting comfortably on Lantern Hill, the Gerber House sits on top of a magical nexus. Once coveted as a figurative seat of power, many have lost their lives trying to draw its strength as their own. DC20 Spoiler The Nexus has given the Gerber house a sort of consciousness of its own. One that shares a symbiotic relationship with its current owner. But, the raw untapped power stored within the home is still one that those in the know would be wise to remain wary around Although if you wanted to go with ears on the Street instread, Streetwise DC10 Spoiler Murder, murder, murder. It seems every owner of the Gerber House from its inception has met a perilous end before the home changed hands. When the building last went on the market it took over thirty years before a buyer even showed the slightest bit of interest. Although it's not clear who that buyer was. DC20 Spoiler Over a decade ago, AEGIS quietly purchased the old Gerber House. The owner, supposedly runs a top secret "Special Projects" division out of her home. AEGIS' euphemism for "supernatural investigations". Life SciencesDC15 Spoiler Oddly, the greenery on the house of the Gerber House seems to exist outside of the cycle of seasons. Flowers that should not possibly thrive in this climate grow without issue, and nothing short of a blizzard has ever seemed to affect their growth.
Blue Rose Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Hm... When Sam came to Earth, she was with an imp named Mouse who tried to take over the world with her help. It ended quickly and badly. Mouse is still in AEGIS custody. Might this be where AEGIS is holding him?
Raveled Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 So I think the conclusion to this scene is Kit and Jay walking out just to spite Agent Wyld. Then they check the place out on their own recognizance.
Raveled Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Oh, and if Wyld speaks up again, I'm reserving the right to punch her in the face before we leave.
Brown Dynamite Posted October 3, 2016 Author Posted October 3, 2016 Faces are there to be punched! But, I'll probably do a scene cut after BR's next post so Agent Wyld has done all her speaking.
Raveled Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Morrison, do you want to make a post here, or... ?
