Ari
Tiff, Knowledge(Technology) roll to determine how much Emerald Spider has heard of this company. Link to comment

Ari
DC5: Ming Xi Visions makes security systems and, according to rumor, super-tech for select clients. DC10: Ming Xi Visions' designs are notorious for being inexplicably impossible to replicate or circumvent by normal people. Their hand in the self-repairing substances being implemented around Emerald City, Oregon, has given them a near-monopoly in maintenance of major infrastructure. DC15: Ming Xi Visions has access to the security systems on both sides of the river, along with official permission to study alien technology recovered on Earth. Link to comment
Ari
Tiff, would you roll Stealth please? Also Knowledge(Technology) to figure the best way to navigate these ventilation shafts. Avenger, would you roll Sense Motive, please? Link to comment
Tiffany Korta
Emerald Spiders Stealth: 1d20+10 12 and Knowledge (Technology): 1d20+10 25. Well ventilation systems are her specialty. Link to comment
Avenger Assembled
So should Sharl be recognizing these people as fellow Lor, or...? Link to comment
Ari
Well Avenger, it's part of the broader m-yes. Sharl would absolutely figure that pretty quick. Link to comment
Ari
@Tiffany Korta If you'd like Spider can try for a Computers check to try and get into the system before whatever is happening finishes. Or do any number of other things, if you'd prefer. @Avenger Assembled Most relevant for his situation would be a History or Sense Motive, or Technology if he wants to figure on how psychic energy could affect his systems like that. Avenger Assembled
Will his Skill Mastered 20 on Sense Motive and Technology be adequate or should I roll? Link to comment

Ari
@Tiffany KortaOkay that works for the initial entry, what does Peri want to look for? On the table is Lab Surveillance, Access Point Surveillance, Hall Surveillance and Lavatory Surveillance. She can check all of those, but each one will leave less of the others to search. @Avenger Assembled Also, sorry to pile one, but would you roll Notice, please? Link to comment
Avenger Assembled
Can I take the 20 I get from Skill Mastery, or should I roll? Link to comment
Ari
Actually that works good. Citizen is familiar enough with the noise antimatter interacting with matter makes to recognize a cacophony of that noise racing towards them through the sewer tunnel. Link to comment
Avenger Assembled
So there's a giant explosion rushing towards them? Link to comment
Ari
So as briefly explained in Chat that was a miscommunication on my part, like the spars. The anti-matter villain Negator has a very distinctive sound when he flies, since he's propelling himself via anti-matter collisions. Citizen is familiar enough with this to recognize instantly that there's more than one Negator incoming via the very not up to code sewer tunnel. Three, maybe four of him. Link to comment
Tiffany Korta
Peri wants to record the feed, and if possible broadcast them all, the plan right now is to sift them later for useful and incriminating stuff. Link to comment
Avenger Assembled
Lemme know if that's okay, Ari. Link to comment
Ari
@Avenger Assembled. That is actually a little better than what I had in mind. Works for me! @Tiffany KortaKortaOkayKortaKortaOkay that begins with no hitches at all. Quick questions 1. To where in physical space is this data going? and 2. Would you work in an aside about how Peri is technically doing the same thing as Amanda in Illegal? Link to comment
Avenger Assembled
Okay, let me know what needs to be done next. Link to comment
Ari
Alright, so, @Avenger Assembled, options: 1: attack the Negators HEAD-ON in which case a Grapple check DC35 to break free when he slams into and is enveloped by very surprised fusions of matter/antimatter, then Initiative. 2: Bypass the Negators, in which case A DC20 Reflex save and DC20 Bluff check to get them to follow him and not just continue out on their mission to 'chastise' Ming Xi Visions. 3: Something Else. @Tiffany Korta, complications. Enacting the With Great Power Complication. As shall be decreed by the GM post, one of the many, many subjects being contained by the Hermits is a 7-foot colossus with skin like black granite and hair like braids of obsidian. He's in restraints and being wheeled towards a pit of magma. Emerald Spider sees this, and the maps showing how to get to the 'Chasm' sub-level. Peri is compelled to step in. Link to comment
Avenger Assembled
Let's do that second thing. Reflex save: 9 Bluff check: 31 Well the Reflex save isn't good. Made it with the HP, though! Okay. Link to comment
Avenger Assembled
Citizen will fly upwards through the nearest manhole cover (he'll use his Super-Senses to make sure he won't hit anybody on the way upwards) then fly as high as he possibly can, way up into the sky away from the city. He'll fly all-out to do this, so he should be able to get about 40,000 feet up. Note that he's still much slower than Negator off the straightaway, so I fully expect some shots to be taken at him! Ari
Okay. Have a HP, AA, for leading the Negators away from other potential targets and vital infrastructure and making their only possible target Citizen. So, going to say the battle is joined. Also two more are there. But! Because these are not the main baddies, and are mere energy extensions of the real deal, I rule they here do not benefit from the Heroic Extra. Their Initiative: 14 Link to comment
