April Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 Wherein we provide easy to understand instructions on switching from IP.Chat to Discord, including how to properly link one's forum profile with their Discord account to properly sync access roles and nicknames. Two-Factor Authentication is enabled and required on the Discord server. It is currently enabled but optional on the forums, though it will probably become a requirement for those with more expansive permissions (mods and admins). This is why it is important to have a valid, up-to-date email address associated with the forums. In order for this to work right two things need to happen. The email address used on the forums must be valid and the same used for Discord. One will have to log into the forums via Discord at least once to make sure everything syncs properly. Users without roles on the Discord server will be unable to see, speak or interact in any meaningful way with the server, as well as remain confined to the #general channel. Make sure you verify your Discord account - or the whole thing's not gonna work.
