How would you describe your heritage?

Causasian New Zealander, and Arabic, I suppose.

Just shy of 6’3

Willowy.  I’d say a dancer’s body.

 

Do you have any particular weaknesses, such as allergies or physical disabilities?

None really.

 

How do you carry yourself? Are you graceful, or heavy on your feet? Can you be stealthy, do you walk with confidence? 

Decade of dance and gymnastics and I am pretty graceful and light on my feet.  I am not sneaky.  Though I tend to groove a bit when I move about, impromptu dance routines are a thing.

 

Describe your skin, eye, and hair color. 

Dirty blonde hair, though I dye it and bleach it as needed.  My eyes are really blue, like that bright sorta sky blue.  I am smooth skin, and I don’t normally look tanned, unless I spend a lot of time outside, then I do.  I guess another blessing from my dad, I don't burn

Currently more in the undercut and side cut styles.  But generally short.

Yes and yes.  Though I think my height can mess with that view.

I have some moles, that counts right?

Not really?

Minimal.  Unless I am on stage

I have that smooth sort of alto, a little deep.  But size, so that makes sense..

Like totally.  I have that west coast speech thing.  Also I slouch when I am not dancing, because I am kinda huge.

Los Angeles.

Moved from the best coast to here.

Eh?  I am not a big patriot.  A place is a place is a place.

 

How do you feel about the place you come from? 

California?  I love it. I can see not loving it though.

Growing up, were most of the people you knew similar to you, or were you somehow a minority? How did that affect you? 

Apparently I am half Arabic.  I didn’t really know until later.  I look like a Caucasian, so I guess it didn’t affect me.

 

Is there something you've always been really good at or really bad at? How has that affected your life? 

 

Dancing.  My life, and aspirations revolve, or revolved, around it.

 

Were there any traumatic experiences in your early years (death of a family member, abandonment, orphaned at an early age)?
 
Not really?  Barring my powers showing up.

Briefly describe a defining moment in your childhood and how it influenced your life.

Watching a presentation of the Nutcracker ballet. I wanted to do that, be like that. It was so beautiful.

 

What stupid things did you do when you were younger?

 

I am still young.  So, I expect more.  But... I snuck out of my house to go to a concern with some friends a few years ago, and got ditched.

Where did you go to school? How much school did you have, and did you enjoy it?

Still in school.  Claremont, though hopefully Julliard.  I don't have an opinion yet.  My last school in LA was fun, awesome, and equal parts frustrating.

 

Do you have any mementos of your childhood? What are they, and why did you keep them? If you have none, why not?

 

I got Mr. Floofins.  He’s cool.  He is a tapdancing bear.  Do I need to elaborate more beyond that?

When did you decide to become a hero? Why? Did anyone influence you one way or another in the decision?

I am just trying to learn my powers.

 

Is the reason you give people for becoming a hero different than your real reason? If so, why?

I am not even sure I am a hero.

 

Do you have any deep, dark secrets in the past that may come back to haunt you?

No.  I guess the powers.

 

Do you represent yourself as being different from who you really are? Why?

… I don’t know.  That scares me a little, the way my powers are...  How they behave, it is a little worrying.

 

If you do have these secrets, what do you fear would happen if the truth became known? How far would you go to protect those secrets? 

I don’t know…  I guess I would end up a bit like my father?

No?  A parking violation.

 

Family

What are your biological parents' names? 

Natalie Conrad, and Amir al-Misri.

 

Were you raised by them? If not, please explain and describe who raised you.

I was raised by my mum, Natalie, and later my step-father, Harold.  I never knew about Amir until later. It's the fight that actually caused this mess.

 

What was their standing in the community? What did/do they do for a living?

My mum is a popular, and known stunt woman.  My dad is a producer.  They’re both well known in the circles, though they don’t do too much in the community at large, I suppose.

 

Where are your parents now?

 

Still in LA.

 

Did your family stay in one area or move around a lot?

Stayed based in LA, they are both involved in entertainment, so they would travel for work.

 

How did you get along with their parents? How do you get along with them now (if applicable).

I love my mum and dad, there is some arguments, but nothing major.  My mum is one of my best friends, but she is still my mum.  My dad is great.  I don’t know my father.

 

How do your parents view you now, or how would they? 

 

I don’t know anymore.  I mean, I did sort of attack my mum with my powers… they might be scared of me, or for me.  I don’t know how Amir views me.

 

Do you have any siblings? If so how many and what are their names? Describe your relationship with them.

I’ve got a brother, Nicholas.  He is a bit of a jerk, but he is like 12 so that’s to be expected right?

 

What was your birth order in the family?

Me and then Nick.

 

Where are your siblings now (if applicable)? Do they have families of their own? What do they do?

Still living at home.

 

Do you stay in touch with them or have you become estranged?

Yes, I email and text and talk to them all.

No?  Maybe eventually my father?

My mum is my confidant.

None?  I mean my mum is sort of the black sheep from her parents, so I’ve never really interacted with them.

I have other concerns at the moment.  And I want to attend Julliard.

I don’t know?  Probably not a dancer or performer… I mean, I’ve met enough of them!

Relationships

Do you have any close friends? If so, please describe them, and how you came to be close to them.

None really?  Dancing and trying to get into the schools, and all that has bred little time, and rivals.  I have met some people who are cool, so we might end up close.

 

Do you have a best friend? If so, how did they become your best friend? How close are you to your best friend?

I support my mum.  Pretty close, but… now?

 

If you were to go missing, who would worry about you?

My family, maybe some new classmates, and probably my father?

No.

Um, Julia Cassaveti.  But that was because she made sure there was some problems with some of my tryouts for performances.

 

If you have enemies, how do you think they might attempt to work against you in the future?

Well we’re on different coasts now so… no?

 

What is the worst thing someone has done to you?

Julia straight slashed my tires.

 

Where do your loyalties lie? In what order?

 

Uhm, my family, my dreams, my… team?  My classmates?  I dunno how to define that.

 

Who or what do you trust the most? Why?

I’d like to say my family, because they are my family.  We're close.

 

Who or what do you despise? Why?

Cruel people.  I don’t feel I need to justify myself on that, people who make others hurt, for no reason.

What qualities do you admire most in other people? Are these qualities you possess?

Compassion and perseverance.  That is it.  I believe I do

 

What qualities do you hate most in other people? Do you have any of those qualities?

Cruelty, selfishness.  I am neither.  I mean a little thoughtless, sure, but not cruel or selfish.

I suppose so?  I mean, I am trying to hide my identity where possible...

I think I work well in teams, I do tend to be jumping in the front.

I go Claremont, does that count?  We don’t share everything with each other.

Not really?  Do the dance schools/academies count?  If so those.  I don’t have a whole like of time for anything else.

Personality & Beliefs

Who are your heroes?

Maria Kochetkova and Pablo Picasso.  My mum.

Did you ever become disillusioned with former heroes or idols? If so, why and what were the circumstances?

Not really?  I liked painting and drawing and dancing.  I like what they've done, and my mom still kicked ass when I was a baby.
 

Do you like being a hero? If so, what is the most rewarding part? If not, what makes you keep doing it?

Am I here?  I don’t think I am am.  I don’t know how I feel about it.

I suppose dancing, getting accepted to a dance organization.

 

What are your short term goals (what would you like to be doing within a year)?

Have my powers under control, and maybe be free

 

What are your long term goals (what would you like to be doing twenty years from now)?

Retiring from dance?  Maybe become a teacher.

 

What is your greatest fear? Why? What do you do when something triggers this fear?

Losing control of my powers…  Because I almost killed my mom with them, and I just… I go into shock.

 

Is there anything you would give you life for? 

I guess, altruistic sacrifice.

I sort of have it, from my family.  It exists.  It’s a thing.  I am not one to dwell on it overmuch.

How do you generally treat others?

 

I'd like to think well?  I give everyone a chance.  The world is filled with weirdos, might as well do right by all.

Are you a trusting person? Has your trust ever been abused?

 

I am trusting to a degree, I feel you have to let your trust be abused.  Some other people have tried to abuse it, and I don't talk to them any more.

 

Are you introverted (shy and withdrawn) or extroverted (outgoing)? Do you have a lot of self-confidence?
 
I waffle between.  I feel I am confident on either side of the aisle there.

I try to match the social context as best I can.  But... I can be a bit... pushy?

 

What are your most annoying habits?

I am a bit irreverent at times, and I make non sequitur jokes that people tend to not like.

I try not to, people are judgemental by nature, I try not to act on stuff without ample reasoning.  But cruel people.

 

What is your favorite food? Do you prefer any particular type of food? Do you take the time to enjoy your food, or do you eat as fast as you can?

Mexican!  All mexican!  All the time!  Tacooooooooooooooos!  But I love all food.

 

What is your favorite drink (alcoholic or otherwise)?

 

Thai iced tea.

What is your favorite treat (dessert)?

Pineapple sorbet.

 

Are there any specific foodstuffs that you find disgusting or refuse to eat?

 

Soymilk.  It is just nasty.

What is your favorite color? Are there any colors you dislike?

All colors!  But, I like red the most.  I don’t dislike any.

 

What sort of music do you like? Is there any that you hate?

Anything I can dance to.  A lot of chillstep, or EDM, but I do have a love for rock'n'roll.

Eucalyptus.

 

Do you have a favorite animal?

Percival.

 

What is your most treasured possession? Why?

A set of crowbill pens.  I got them for Christmas one year, and over break I just was obssessed with using them.  I love the way they feel.

Both can be fun, I tend to be a bit more city.

 

Is there a job or a task you would absolutely refuse to do?

No.  Not really.  My folks aren’t.

No?  I guess my folks.

I don’t know… I never… God, I don’t think I could.

 

What circumstances led to you forming that conviction, or taking that action?

I am 16, I haven't given it much thought..  I feel it’s wrong.

 

Are there circumstances under which you believe it is permissible to kill? What are they?

I don’t know… self-defense?  Defense of someone else?

 

How would you react to watching someone kill another person? Would your reaction be different if the killer was a friend or an enemy of yours? 

 

Sick.  Sick.  Sick.  I don’t know.  I don’t know at all.

 

How would you react if something important was stolen from you?

I would be upset, but it’s a thing that can happen.  Ad I will move on.

 

How would you react to public humiliation?

It happens.  I recover from that pretty easy, having fallen off a few stages in performances.  So double down, establish eye contact, and show them that I am the alpha!

 

How would you react if a good friend or relative were purposely or accidentally killed? Has it happened to you?

 

It’s happen accidentally, it… was upsetting and I was sad, but I can’t change what happened, and I eventually moved on, trying to remember the person as much as possible.  A friend died in a car accident.

 

What do you consider to be the worst crime someone could commit and why?

I don’t know?  I think… murder, it just stops them.  The victim, their future.

 

If your life were to end in 24 hours, what five things would you do in those remaining hours?

I’d dance.  Just dance.

Career & Training

Do you have any special training in your hero skills? If so, where and how did you get it?

It’s why I am at Claremont.

 

Who taught you the most about your heroing abilities? What was your relationship with that person?

Right now?  No one.

 

Do you have any particularly unusual skills? How did you acquire them?

Dance and my art.  I’ve practiced them every day, almost.

 

Do you do something besides hero work for a living? Have you ever done anything else, or do you plan to?

Student.

Not being there for it?

Some youth ones for dance and some drawing/painting.

 

What skill areas would you like most to improve in? Is there anything you can't do that you wish desperately you could?

 

Control my powers.

 

How do you act around people who are more skilled than you in areas you'd like to improve? Are you jealous, or do you try and learn?

Learn.  I am surrounded by better and more skilled dancers, and gymnasts, and painters.  So I just want to learn.  I want to make myself better.

Lifestyle & Hobbies

What is a normal day for you? How do you feel when something interrupts this routine?

Wake up.  Work out or dance.  School.  More dancing.  Do some sketching later.  Sleep.  Eat in the middle of all those.

 

Do you have any hobbies, or interests outside hero work? What are they, and where did you pick them up?

Dancing, calligraphy, painting, drawing.  Eating.  So much eating.  I like surfing and longboarding

 

What do you do for fun?

Dance or something art.  Eat.

 

Do you have a costume? What does it look like?

I got this ugly thing that Claremont gave me, when my powers kick it I make it… nicer?

 

How do you normally dress when not in costume?

Awesomely.  Retro-ish.  I think someone said I look like a thrift shop blew up on me.

 

What do you wear to bed most nights?

Depends on the weather and how I am feeling.  Generally a night shirt and pajama pants, or no pajama pants.

 

Do you wear any special jewelry? What is it, and what does it look like?

 

Nothing special.  Some earrings, and rings, but nothing fancy.

Not really.

Control is a thing that you need to sort out in a way that works for you.  Applying the same methods in all aspects of your life is problematic.
